Today was lovely. Slept in, ate pie for breakfast, took a shower, was lazy. Aaron went to hang out with his brother, so mom, dad and I went to the Como Zoo. It was a great zoo day! There were so few people there and the critters were more active than usual. One of the polar bears was busy digging into ice with fish frozen into it as enrichment, the dall sheep were chasing each other around, the giraffes were active and spent a lot of time staring at us, the baby orangutan was interacting with the children looking at her, the arctic foxes were running around reveling in the new snow…My favorite was when the wolves heard a dog barking and decided they needed to remind the dog that it was their territory, so they both started howling. It was beautiful! Even more exciting because they were about 10 feet away.

Birthday’s tomorrow. Mum and I are getting our hairs cut, but aside from that, no plans, which I’m pretty happy about. I kind of want cake but we have so many Thanksgiving leftovers, so I may want to wait for cake until sometime next week. Mmm…cake
