Well, the viewers came around on Sunday and seemed to like the place. They currently live in a 4-bed house but their kids have all grown and left home, so they are looking to downsize. Seems sensible. Their home was built by the same company that built this one. They have a reputation of building quality homes, and that is why the people are looking at this one. Not many Parker-built bungalows on the market so we are hopeful. Their house has gone on the market this week, so we shall just wait I guess.
Weather is pretty crap this week. Not as bad as some are having it, but it’s wet ‘n’ windy and just brings ya down. I’m out driving in it this week too, which is just rude! Still it will be nice actually getting out and doing some work for a change!
Nearly completed my Freelance course. One more tutorial, two more assignments and then the BIG one, to get my diploma. I have enjoyed the course as well as all the books I have read on the subject. Thank goodness for Kindles! I’ve got half a library on the thing! I’ve got the Fire version so it does other things apart from being a book reader and it’s really handy. I’m also reading a lot of airgun and fieldcraft books. I’ve got an urge to take up airgun shooting again, after about 25 years. I’m amazed how more advanced they are and how much more expensive they are! But with being more out in the country in Cornwall I’ll have more chance to get out and practice. So that’s on the bucket list for the near future.
Haven’t been out on the bike for a couple of weeks so went into the garage at the weekend to start her up, make sure she is OK, and she started first time. I was well pleased. I shall probably put her on a trickle charge next weekend because I can’t see me getting much more ride time with the weather turning like it’s forecast.
We have our works Christmas do in just over a week….err, I mean December team Meeting! (Got told off by the director for calling it a Christmas do! LOL). We’ve got a Secret Santa set up but the cheapskates have dropped the price to a measly £5. Can’t get anything decent with that so it might just be a gimmicky one! LOL.
Dawn and I said we weren’t going to buy for each other this year, but I know how Dawn just loves Christmas and I can’t do it to her, so I’ve got her a real well-built wooden iPad stand that you can also use as a charging dock. It’s got “Dawn’s iPad” on the front and a personal message from me on the back. I know she is going to love it. I am really not bothered about me. The pleasure will be seeing Dawn’s face as she opens it.
Well, only got 25 days to wait!
Right, that’s all for now.
Stay Safe, Peeps.
