Day Six: What do you consider to be your biggest character flaws?

Wow. This one requires a little bit of thought. I have a lot of flaws, because I’m human. So, let me count the ways.

I think one of my biggest flaws is that I am judgmental. I try not to be, but I am. I usually keep my judgments to myself, so most people are unaware how judgmental I am. Even in the midst of judging someone, I feel guilty about it. That “There but for the grace of God go I....” kind of thinking. Because I do have compassion and empathy. At the same time, some people are just ignorant jerks. Some people are lazy and think the world owes them a living. Some people play the victim all their lives. Some people make the same stupid choices over and over, then complain because the results are the same. Some people fail to take responsibility for themselves.

See? Even in reciting my biggest character flaw, I include a little judgmental rant!

I’m also guilty of envy (though I’m more frequently happy for other people) and greed (though I’m generous and giving).

I’m a work in progress. Just like everyone else. At least I’m working on it!

I'm judgmental too....but darn it, I work hard for everything myself. If I was a nicer and less judgmental person, things might come more easily to me. I think I do understand a lot of the real barriers that people have and I allow for them.

I'm judgmental, too. But it's funny the things that make me look down my nose at a person....those who fail to RSVP, those who are always late, those who litter, those who park unlawfully in handicap spots and those who never put the shopping carts in the cart corral. (I'll give those who park in the handicap spots a pass with that; I believe there should be a cart corral near the handicap spots. There rarely is.)

My biggest flaw is I can slip into martyrdom. Really, I'm insufferable. Oh, I'm passive-aggressive, too, but I'm working on that. (It's wasted on my husband, so why bother.)

Some say judgmental. I call that honest and forthright. Embrace it!
