Getting There. in And so it Continues!

So things are moving pretty quickly. All estate agents and solicitors contacted, removal company informed and awaiting final move date, grandkids told (not a nice time!).

We’ve been calculating what we can take with us and what won’t fit in the new place. Paula will be doing well out of this move! Sadly there will be no room for our American-style fridge freezer, but at the end of the day, it will be just Dawn and me, so we won’t need such a big unit. It will be ideal for them. They will also have our gazebo as there won’t be any space in the garden for it.
With splitting the rest of the furniture between our bungalow and Lee’s Annexe we should get everything else in.
We’ll be converting the dining room into an office/sewing room as it’s such a big space and we don’t really need it as a dining room. It’s got plenty of light coming in from the patio doors too.

And now it’s just the waiting! Haven’t handed in my notice yet, might just wait until I get the confirmed moving date. On the way back from Cornwall, the clutch on my car started acting up. Not sure if it’s the plates that are wearing out (nearly 75,000 miles in less than 3 years) or if it’s an air lock in the hydraulic system. I got in touch with the lease company who do the booking for servicings etc., the earliest date they could get me in is next Monday, November 2nd. Luckily I don’t have any appointments at the moment this week, so I won’t have to use the car too much.

I’ve told a couple of my close colleagues at work and both are happy for me. They knew prior to the weekend what was on the cards, and I have found out that the company is definitely losing another team member, so with me leaving it means everyone else will be safe. I’m happy about that.
I’m also happy that my Freelance writing is going well too. One about to be published, one waiting for confirmation, and another proposal sent off. I’m absolutely loving this new career. I didn’t realise just how much I love writing.

Ok, that said, I guess I’d better get off and do some “proper” work!

Stay Safe, peeps
