Healed up in Slowing Down

When one has been away from writing for as long as Slowpoke has it is hard to get back into the mode.

Initially it was computer issues one after another. It is hard running a computer when you know so little and have no one within 500 miles to help you out when you need some assistance.

Then it was her (slowpoke) eye sight that progressively got worse.

She has taken care of her eyes. 2 Cataract surgeries and Lens replacement. (August and November). She now is back to new.

Since connecting with a Doctor she has connected with various organizations that are a help to her. A few to mention- Meals on Wheels. Housekeeper.. she gets x many hours a week. They also take her to her doctor appointments.

She does have internet for WHEN she might get online. I think one day she would like to connect back to one of these Online Diaries and with the people she spent like 10 years reading.

She is still dealing with a new computer that she got over a year ago that she still knows so little about and again.. no one within 500 miles to walk her through learning it.

Until then she enjoys making Hats for the Homeless on her Hat Loom. She creates about 100 each year. She enjoys watching TV particularly PBS shows. She enjoys Reading. She enjoys Jigsaw Puzzles.

So that is what has been happening with my Mom, Slowpoke
