The Question Game! So here are the first set of much delayed answers. My apologies. Life got in the way. So enjoy the Q&A I started months ago!

And.. we’re off!

Are you the type of person that can ever be completely fulfilled and content or are you one on an eternal search?

ANSWER: Hmm. I can be completely fulfilled and content for a time, most certainly, but I have a bit of a dual nature to me. Many do not believe in Astrology, and that’s fine, most also don’t understand that your Sun sign is only one of three major signs that rule your personality to go with your Moon sign and your Ascendant or Rising Sign. All three in collaboration with one another lend a much fuller and more well-rounded portrait of the person. With that said, the effects and influences of living life cannot be discounted, but rather highlighted so it’s just certain characteristics prevalent in you, not actually who you are. My dominant sign is a Gemini, and I fit it in some really unique ways, and I totally go against many of the traits.

Brief story. I once met a girl who was a triple Gemini. She had all three signs in Gemini and she was quite literally the very definition of a Gemini. She was, perhaps, the most charming woman I have ever dealt with, but she was shallow, flighty, and very self-absorbed. However, the verbal foreplay we engaged in was really quite stunning. And she said in all of her travels, and she’d met and flirted with so many people – men and women alike – she never had met anyone who could engage her and go toe-to-toe with her wit until she met me. Then she also wanted desperately to get me drunk because I was against drinking back then. Haha. And she wanted to get me to break a few other of my rules, but I digress. I’m very shy at times, but mostly quite extroverted. I know, everyone who knows me rolls their eyes whenever I say I can be shy, but I can be. It’s why I relate to everyone so well – I feel every emotion, and can empathize and truly recognize what is happening to them and relate. So, yes, I can be content with a nice little house, a white pickett fence, and a plush backyard with Sunday barbecues. However, I want to travel the land, meet every type of person, enjoy every type of local cuisine, partake of their lifestyle. My goal is to be able to eventually retire, buy an RV, and go across the country and hit all the big cities, all the tiny towns, and explore them all in every state. And I want to go to Ireland, and Scotland and.. I’m very difficult to keep.
I’m very difficult to hold onto, because I get bored very easily and quickly, and I am always searching.. but there are a few that I meet whom I know this precious person who is so rare will never bore me.

I always say that how you know if you love someone is if you can have the exact same conversation literally every day, hundreds of times, and it never gets old. True love is when she keeps your heart pounding just by being herself, and being true to that. Her laugh at a small joke, the way she curls her hair around her finger when concentrating, the look she has when she’s daydreaming, the clothes she wears to bed if any at all.. whatever it is. Just that’s something that can sate my curiosity and desire. I can be content and fulfilled while also always searching. I’m always searching. When we stop is when we die.

Best question ever: do you pee in the shower?

ANSWER: No. Only in your pool. Uhm, driving back from Memphis this Fourth of July we were on a long stretch of the highway and I foolishly drank like a gallon of water before we left. We’d stopped once and I used the bathroom, but an hour later we hit that long desolate highway and I had to go so bad. So bad. Steve ended up pulling to the side of the road, and well, I marked Mississippi, yo.

What’s one habit of yours you absolutely hate?

ANSWER: Sometimes I react and speak without thinking and it can be disastrous. I’m normally a very thoughtful person, and usually pretty measured and logical, but there are just these brief moments where I start telling a story or react spontaneously and later cringe about it. Like telling Sam about Steve’s first bachelor party and uh, what the stripper was able to do with her butt cheeks to his little Wolverine during a lapdance.. as we drove home, Steve was like dude, I’m going to get killed for that. Oops?
It was still so damned funny, though. Her reaction.. kinda worth it.

What’s your biggest pet peeve?

ANSWER: Selfishness? Can that be a pet peeve? I was asked this recently and I hate it when people stand directly behind me, when they noisily eat crunchy food, and another one is I loathe being hung up on. Hang up on me? You’ll likely never talk to me again. ;) Very few have survived doing that. Lying is the same way. Lie to me and I find out, and that’s a pink slip, darlin!

What side of the bed do you sleep on?

ANSWER: Whichever one she’s not on.. lol. It’s just true. Lately it’s been the one closest to my bathroom? But that’s likely cause of all the hospital stays, the recoveries, needing to be close to the bathroom has been vital for much of my life. When I was with my ex, I let her sleep on that side, though. Aint that just romantic?

What’s the most embarrassing thing you’re willing to admit to?

ANSWER: Uhm, okay, so story time. We were going out to karaoke, and I wanted to mess with my hair. And I normally have never cared about what my hair looks like, but I think now after everything, I’m a decent looking guy. Not great, but at least close to average? Hopefully? So I went to Wal-Mart, and I wanted to get something to keep my hair in place because when you’re dancing, drinking, and singing and shooting pool it can get a little hot and the hair can move about. So I go and I’m staring at these four aisles of hair products. Whatever. Like I know what to use? So eventually I realize I’m late, I grab some.. hairspray. And checkout. Walk in Sam and Steve’s door, go to their bathroom, and I start asking Steve how far away am I spraying this. He walks in and dies laughing and is like dude, what are you doing it says six inches away and lightly spray. You just crop dusted your damn head from 2 inches away. Why didn’t you just ask me for some of my mousse anyway?

Uh, you use mousse? How was I supposed to know, I thought your hair looked great naturally.. He said, of course it does, but he has to keep it that way.

Sam then walks in and apparently was listening and she’s like oh no, Brian, no, what are you doing. And that’s WOMEN’S HAIRSPRAY you just used. Uh, I didn’t care though? It worked. I slicked my hair back so it was spiky. She said you look awful let me fix this. So she rinses out my hair, she combs it a bunch, then she puts some of Steve’s mousse in it, and looks at it, steps back, and says you look good! I look in the mirror.

I LOOK EXACTLY HOW I ALWAYS LOOK.

Sam says that’s cause girls don’t like it when a guy is trying too hard, trust her, she said, you want to look natural. So.. yeah. All that for them to mock me, but I did get a free bottle of Steve’s mousse out of it. lol.

Stop judging me.

Do you make a sex face when you cum?

ANSWER: You guys are pervs. Everyone makes a sex face, and yes, mine is better than yours.

How exactly do you believe capitalism made the world a better place?

ANSWER: That’s kind of intrinsic on it having actually done so, right? I believe that it is an imperfect system that has actually brought about some good things such as liberating people with the chance to make a better life for themselves than they otherwise might not have. Still, with any foundation there will always inevitably be cracks in it if not fissures. So the promise of a different life can not only be enjoyed when attained, but also it can be a driving force of inspiration for those in countries that are not Capitalistic to make their own places and lives better. Hope is a powerful thing.

Bananas, tomatoes or avocados?

ANSWER: Yes, please. I enjoy bananas. Ever had bananas foster? It was invented in New Orleans, of course! Avocadoes give us guacamole, and quite frankly, that’s pretty amazing right there. However, the tomato always wins. One, it goes in guacamole. Two, it goes amazing on burgers, grilled cheese, salads, pizzas, and so many other things. It also gives us tomato based sauces such as marinara, pizza sauce, spaghetti sauce, etc.. AND BLOODY MARY’S, too.

Has there been a death in your life ( family, friend, etc. ) that changed how you live your life or your philosophies on life? If so, why and how?

ANSWER: Robin. She would always have been THE answer when this first was asked. But since I took so long to answer, obviously.. My mother dying. My mother. There’s entries dedicated to this. I’ll be brief on it, I live everyday hoping she’s prouder of me today than the last.

Coke or Pepsi?

ANSWER: Neither. I had to give up sodas (it’s NOT pop, people! It’s a soda, a soft drink, or a Coke as a generic term!) after my surgeries. I rarely ever drink one, but if you give up Coke and then drink it later it burns like Hades. So growing up I was a Coke man all the way. Now? If I had to choose, I’ll go with the sweeter Pepsi. Honestly, though, it’s not the Civil War here. You can pick both sides, people!

Have you ever tried Vegemite, and if so, how do you feel about it?

ANSWER: I had to Google what Vegemite is, so does that answer your question? You’re the Aussie, here, (what a hot accent, omg!) why don’t you tell us – your desperate to know audience?

Have you ever had sex outdoors? If more than once, what was your favourite?

ANSWER: I have. More than once. It didn’t matter where, but it was in the pouring rain.

(I know at least one of you snarky mofos is thinking that’s cause I knew she’d be wet then. Jackasses. lol.)

It was hot, though, because I absolutely adore the rain, and it was a thunderstorm, and there were moments where she was screaming in ecstasy and the crackling of thunder’s roar would deafen her and she’d bite my ear, I’d be digging my nails into her back, she’d be trying to whisper things and all you could hear was the pounding – of the rain. Pervs.

What do you want to accomplish the most?

ANSWER: I always wanted to be a good man, a better husband, and an even better father. That was my life’s ambition for so long. Now? I’m old. I’m not sure about the last two. So, if it isn’t going to be those two things I want to truly change as many people’s lives that I meet as possible. I have been granted the sweetest gift of being told I have changed people’s lives, repaired them, helped inspire them, motivated them through defeat, and steered them through darkness. I’d also love to make a career out of my writing, but I’m not sure I’m good enough for that. So changing lives.

What three objects would you save if your house was burning down?

ANSWER: Are my dogs objects? Cause Sam and Dean come first. If not, then… hm.
I mean, am I naked? Clothes and a cell phone are vital here! I already faced believing I had lost everything during Katrina. So I mean, when you go through that, possessions are so less vital to you. Maybe my computer tower, my signed Royal Teeth poster I got on the night they put me on their Guest List when they played the House of Blues here in New Orleans, and my mother’s ashes (should we spread them then a picture I have of her I cherish)..

If you could cure one disease/ailment, which would you choose?

ANSWER: Selfishness. Imagine the world without it.

What fabric to you most enjoy seeing on a woman?

ANSWER: Fishnet stockings. Oh. My. God. Is that considered fabric? I’ve got a thing for a girl wearing leather..

What would cause you to stop associating with someone?

ANSWER: Selfishness, deceit, and a lack of any common morality.

What’s your favorite color?

ANSWER: Blue.. I used to always say colors because I associate them with things I am proud of. My high school? Jesuit’s support the colors of the Virgin Mother which are (Royal) Blue and White! Because St. Ignatius Loyola who founded the Jesuit order of priests was actually quite a deplorable man of wealth who was injured once and while laid up in recovery he read of Christ and all that, but he idenitified with Mary specifically. So he founded the Jesuit’s and gave up his wealth and our motto is “Be a man for others.” I try to live by that code everyday. I’m not pushing religion on you, this is just a part of me I usually don’t discuss because religious zealots bother me. The Jesuit’s always taught me to question my faith. I loved that. I also used to say Black and Gold because of the New Orleans Saints. Who Dat. Dat’s right! Purple and Gold for the LSU Fightin’ Tigers.. and Purple, Green, and Gold for Mardi Gras. But it’ll always be blue first and foremost. Rain. Oceans. Rivers. Lakes. Water…

Where’s the one place in the world you’d like to visit?

ANSWER: Right now I’d love to see Missouri, but overall in my life I’ve always desperately wanted to travail the highlands of Scotland and since it’s so close Ireland and Britain as well!

Do you want children? How many?? Picked any possible names???

ANSWER: I’ve always wanted children. I don’t have a number other than more than one.. I’m a middle child (Sam and Steve and I were driving back from the best meal ever in Baton Rouge a while back when she realized all three of us are the middle child of three, pretty cool!) and I think it’s important that your kid has someone they have to learn to share with, have as a confidant, an occasional enemy, and just a more whole family experience. Names? I used to, but a life event changed that, and I stopped.

If you could have one super power, what would it be?

ANSWER: The ability to heal others.

If you had a theme song, what would it be?

ANSWER: Haha, well, that depends.. is it a song I identify with? Because there’s two that fit me and one of the two everyone used to always say “That’s Brian’s song.” That of course being “I’ll Be” by Edwin McCain. ‘I’ll be your crying shoulder. I’ll be lovesuicide. I’ll be better when it’s over. I’ll be the greatest fan of your life.’ See where my name comes from? The other most people don’t know about. It’s “Always” by Bon Jovi. Played it for about four months straight on repeat at one of the lowest moments of my life after Monique and everything that went into that time when I was.. almost on the edge. No, I was on the edge after her and what we lost between us. That’s why I sign every correspondence as “Always, Brian.” Because I will Always be myself. Always be true to you and with you. And I will Always be a very good man, and one you will never forget. Always! But if you’re talking like an entrance theme as if I was a fighter walking to the ring? Hmm.. Either “Lose Yourself” by Eminem or “It’s My Life” by Bon Jovi..?
If your life was made into either a book or movie, what would the title be?

ANSWER: This came up in a game we just played, and the list was 8 book titles, and ALL my friends voted for “A Series of Unfortunate Events” haha. I was like whaaaat? Ian just said, dude, how many surgeries have you had? How many YEARS have you spent in a hospital bed fighting? I wrote a book called “Winter Wonder.” I’ve always liked that title. But probably “Promise Me Forever” or “A Force of Nature” …

What is the happiest moment, the happiest experience of your life and do you imagine anything that could possibly top it?

ANSWER: Falling in love the first time with a woman I never thought would be more than my best friend, I think. (Details in the “The Love of My Life” entries!) And yes, if I have a child that will top it. Should I marry that will most certainly exceed it. No question.

What must some one do to earn your complete trust?

ANSWER: Be my wife. She’ll be the only one to ever come close to gaining that, if such a thing even exists..

How many people have you ever loved in your lifetime?

ANSWER: I have been in love four times. Monique, Stephanie, Christi, and Shayla. Loved plenty of people, but only been in love four times. Been close to being in love two other times, but I believe both people must feel the same way at the same time for it to be in love.

If you could gain anything you desired right now, what would you want?

ANSWER: Health, happiness, and financial stability for all of my loved ones. Especially those with leg pain, I feel you, dog, I feel.

When alone with the person which do you prefer to be, which arouses you more to be, the sub or the dom?

ANSWER: I am not submissive. I am very much a dom.. but I don’t have to be kinky with the right gal.

Which religion do you prescribe to if any?

ANSWER: I am Catholic, but I don’t believe in a lot of their tenets. I think Confession is retarded. I can talk to God at any time through prayer, but I have to go to a priest to talk to God and confess my sins and be absolved by saying 45 Hail Mary’s and Our Father’s and Glory Be’s? Please. Ugh. Silly. Still, I’ve learned about a ton of different faiths, but I still believe in God and I pray everyday. I just don’t ever push it on anyone. I have no clue if what I believe is ‘right’ and the best way. I believe if you’re a good person, truly, and you didn’t believe in anything or the ‘right’ thing then whatever God, Allah, Yahweh or whomever up there will know it, appreciate it, and accept it. But I’m completely open to being wrong. People thought the Earth was flatter than Olive Oil’s rack, no?

If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be? And Why?

ANSWER: I would fix my leg so I could be the active individual that has never spent one day in his life not in pain. I could go DO so much for SO many people if I wasn’t hobbled this way.

What do you really want? I love asking people this question because you get such broad answers… so, what do you really want?

ANSWER: For my younger brother to always be taken care of, because Thomas is a great guy, but he’s challenged. He’s smart, a hard worker, but he has what we believe to be a mild form of autism that’s hard to really notice. He was evaluated and given a general learning disability diagnosis in the mid-80s. I also want to get healthy. Find someone special, romance the hell out of her, treat her the way she deserves and every single day wake up not only thrilled to have her next to me, but to earn her each day so she comes back to me at night of her own choice. I want to write and maybe somehow make a living off of it so it allows me to start a family, have kids of my own or adopt if that isn’t possible, and then keep working to change lives and help people.. I just want to make this world a better place and when I leave it, have her be slightly better for having had me in it. I stain.

Ta da!

Alright! So that was the first batch of questions I got wayyyy back months ago. If anyone enjoyed this and has any questions they’d like me to answer, by all means, lock ‘em and leave ‘em.

Okay, you crazy kids, go out there and violently enjoy life, because it’s a beautiful world when you smile.

May you always find your smile.

Always,
Brian
