I Am An Anchor in Poetry is the Window to the Soul...

So the last entry was terrible. Hopefully this is better. I promise nothing other than to be true to you, because I am always true to me. (Much in my life is happening, but I have so little energy to spend here. I feel this place is losing the promise of a home to me.)

And sometimes the inspiration comes from spending your nights woeful, oh so woeful, and so incomplete…

“I Am An Anchor”

I feel so heavy
Weighty
I am an anchor
And you are my sea
So, tell me, darling
In the darkness
Beneath the moonlight
That I mean something
I mean something more
Than you do
To me

Because I am struggling
And fumbling
And desperately struggling
With this hard-coated steel
The kind that sinks
While the world shrinks
And keeps me held
Held before you
And this world
Downed
Held
On my knees

So am I an anchor?!

Am I so (in)complete?

Am I your purpose?

Do I make you nervous?

While I sink here..

So fully
Weighty
I am an anchor
You are my ocean

And there is no vessel!
Exists no ocean!

That can capture you
Tether you
Weather you
Press into you
Love

And hold me down
While you wonder
And I am torn
Far from love
Completely asunder
And then we stare into
One another
And we wonder

Are you meant?

Are you meant for me?

I'm not writing new stuff yet, but I am back to work publishing, which does feel really good.

Glad to hear it, darling! How goes the battle?

Good! Dusting off the cobwebs this week! Getting my to be published works in a list, setting deadlines and processes in place.
