Here I Go in General

Another productive day. Almost made it through the second bankers box full of crap. Tomorrow another ten pounds of shredding going to Staples.

Four miles on the treadmill at 3.5 incline and 4.5 mph. Ouch ouch ouch. My hips hate me right now.

I’m lucky. I was told once, by a senior officer, that carrier aviators all get new hips in their 40s. Steel shanked boots walking on steel deck plates and a steel flight deck equals a lot of wear and tear. Throw that on top of all the running and you get fucked hips. I first heard this song while running the track on Nellis AFB in the 80s. Running 5 miles a night, every night.

I don’t know where I’m going, but I sure know where I’ve been…“

I am trying to decide if I am going to try a short camera run to the beach or go to LL Beans. I need a thicker shorty wetsuit if I am going to keep getting in the water as fall comes on.

Fall comes on fast. 4am on Wednesday is the equinox. The trees are confused by all the nice weather lately. They start dropping leaves then perk back up again.

It hit 42F last night. Just a matter of time.

‘Til next year, summer girl.
