Second day in a row to the beach. Summer is coming to a close, and it is best to get when the getting is good.

The too pretty out of state daughters are gone, and the too pretty locals are back to school and work. So the beach is sparsely populated by the elderly.

The drive down the end of the Kennebec Chaudiere is almost magical this time of year. Once past Bath and into Phippsburg the serpentine road and the greenery is something to behold, now that you aren’t staring at the back end of out of state SUVs.

Evel came up with this tune. But at 7+ minutes it is too short to cover the trip. I’d have to loop it or add Skellig.

I was trying to figure out how to mount my camera to the dash and use this song as the soundtrack.

The s-turns, the rocky ledges, the trees overgrowing the roads so much that even in the early afternoon it is prudent to turn on your lights.

Then the turn, through the marshes. Sweeping back and forth as the road winds. The last breaking opening of the final marsh before the final turn toward the beach.

If I can figure out a way to mount my camera, I will try to capture what I get to see every time I travel to the beach.

The water was cold - 60F - but after being in it for a while it starts to feel like bath water.

I already have lunch packed for tomorrow. Back to the beach.
