alone it is written
alone I shall be
like a leaf in the forest
with nary a tree

stand I so single
and single I be
and what of you others
who are alone next to me

be crowded in nothing
plenty nothing for free
and nothing is better
when it’s all left for me

call ye all listen’rs
as deaf as ye be
and hear all my words
unspoken to thee

echoed voice to the void
visions the blind only see
alone in the vortex
in the nothing that’s me.
