so shit. didn’t get to sleep until about 4:15 am. did wake up to my alarm at 5:30. intended to snooze it, but dismissed it instead. i also added something good, but very frustrating. i have to do math in order to snooze or dismiss my alarm.

so that meant i had some very jagged sleep until 6:30. tired all day.

fell asleep on the shuttle to union station and just barely stayed awake on the train.

been wanting to get back on track with proper…(better)…eating and exercising. the biggest part of both is my sleep cycle. if you couldn’t tell this isn’t going as well as hoped.

currently 2am. plan is to get up at 5:30 and do some exercise before i go to work.

i’ve been wanting to use my rowing machine again. it so lonely in the living room. got rid of my stationary bike, or as it came to be know, the place where the clothes pile up. it wasn’t actually a bad piece of equipment. i could ride it while watching tv, but my ass hurt too much.

at least for my actual bike i could get a new seat. which i have, but i need to get installed. another thing to do.

i don’t think i have insomnia per se, but i’ve always had issues with my sleep cycle. i tend to be a night owl, but work, well apparently, 8 am is when i start. i’ll be tired when i get up. have some caffeine, in the form of coffee or soda, or both. then get through work with caffeine somewhere in there. but then (possibly because of the caffeine and my natural sleep cycle) i end up exhausted around 6 or 7, but then physically tired around 10, but not mentally tired. regular exercise definitely did help. sure it’ll help again, but it’s a chicken/egg situation. how to get sleep and exercise back on track when each require more of the other.

this was always an issue. even in school. studies have shown that adolescents should start earlier. so should adults probably. but that means ending later as well.

in high school, i set my alarm, i would wake up. then i would fall back asleep. dad would come in after his cup of coffee, tell me to get ready, and go get ready himself. every now and again, i didn’t get up, so he poured water on me. now this may seem extreme, but i did get up. however, it didn’t stop this occurrence from happening multiple times throughout my high school career.
