Prayer in My this and that

My friend inadvertently encouraged me to start a prayer journal. I’ve had one in the past, though I most often wrote when I was feeling upset or unsettled. Now I’m trying to write at least a paragraph every day.

I pray constantly throughout my day, but I don’t have a time specifically set aside in my day to quiet myself and thank God for who He is, all He’s done, and to formally make my requests known to him. I’ve only been doing it for about five days, but it’s been VERY beneficial.

It is SO important to invest in our relationships… marriage is a constant investment, making time to spend with friends is always important and not always easy… my relationship with God shouldn’t be different… it shouldn’t be pushed to the back burner.

truth.

i often admire other faiths.. and how they set aside time every day sometimes 3 or 4 times a day to pray. I often think to myself, "how do they do it? they get up at 5am to pray to Buddha or Mohamed" and yet i can't take 5 minutes every day to talk with God.. set aside time for him, but i can set aside time every day to shower, or play on my phone, or i make sure my coffee is prepped in the morning.. know what i mean?

I definitely know what you mean! I've been a Christian all my life, and still struggle with this? But I'm taking steps to make changes. I've FINALLY got Bible reading into my schedule EVERY DAY! That's a big deal for me.
