How far along? 35 weeks and 2 days

How big is baby? Your baby doesn’t have much room to maneuver now that she’s over 18 inches long and tips the scales at 5 1/4 pounds (about the size of a honeydew melon).

Total weight gain/loss: Up to 137.4; net gain of 31 lbs!

Maternity clothes? Stretching out all the clothes; maternity and non-maternity (my non-maternity clothes be like, “STOP WEARING US! WTF!?”)

Sleep: Not great – so hard to get comfortable and when I do, it’s inevitably time to pee again. I convinced myself we were having an earthquake last night around 11:30p and then couldn’t fall back asleep after I checked several websites that confirmed, we were not, actually.

Best moment this week: Our weekend getaway to Palm Springs. So needed and so awesome. It was hot as can be, but we stayed in the pool most of it, so it was totally bearable. And Joaquin had a blast with his ‘friend’ Havana. He was so sweet with her.

Worst moment this week: It was actually more than a week ago, when we completely missed St. Vincent at the Hollywood Bowl. She was the opening act for Erykah Badu and I completely misjudged timing for getting to the bowl, parking, etc. By the time we arrived and sat in our seats, she was on her last song. So maddening. But Erykah Badu was awesome. It just wasn’t her we were going there to see. Big fail, especially because Aaron was SO EXCITED to see St. Vincent since we didn’t get to go to Coachella. Ugh.

Movement: Still moving like crazy, all the time. Especially when I am trying to get some ZZZZzzzzzs

Food Cravings: I crave mineral water all.the.time. And now! Iced Pumpkin Spice Lattes. Is it really fall? Because it feels like we are living in the armpit of hell here in SoCal.

Food Aversions: Soggy lettuce.

Gender: Lady

Labor Signs: Maybe? A lot of strange cramping and weird pressure; assuming it’s just braxton hicks at this point. …

Pregnancy Symptoms: GIANT BELLY. ALWAYS PEEING. SWOLLEN FINGERS. DISTINCT LACK OF FLEXIBILITY. WEIRD STOMACH SOUNDS.

Belly Button: OUT OUT OUT

What I miss: Just the ease of day-to-day chores. I get a workout making Joaquin’s bed. Like, huffing and puffing by the time I’m done.

What I am looking forward to: Organizing all the things that people gave us for the baby girl. It’s seriously time to start nesting.

Upcoming appointments/events:
- Birthday party for Joaquin’s little buddy on 9/12
- Dr. Appointment on 9/17
- Baby girl’s imminent arrival…
- ....

Milestones (BabyCenter):

Because it’s so snug in your womb, she isn’t likely to be doing somersaults anymore, but the number of times she kicks should remain about the same. His kidneys are fully developed now, and his liver can process some waste products. Most of his basic physical development is now complete — he’ll spend the next few weeks putting on weight.

Your uterus — which was entirely tucked away inside your pelvis when you conceived — now reaches up under your rib cage. If you could peek inside your womb, you’d see that there’s more baby than amniotic fluid in there now. Your ballooning uterus is crowding your other internal organs, too, which is why you probably have to urinate more often and may be dealing with heartburn and other gastrointestinal distress. If you’re not grappling with these annoyances, you’re one of the lucky few.

Current favorite GIRL names: Aurion Rose. I think we’re set.

I can't wait to see you holding your sweet baby girl! :) Are you going to have a VBAC? I can't remember if you mentioned that or not.
