Well, it’s a different title!

Shocked and disappointed that I actually forgot to post an entry last night. It was a long day with VERY hot weather. It got up to around 32-35 C here and there was no breeze. Just moving around the house I was sweating .

At least it was good weather for the girl and her feller when they came to pick the Kawasaki up! Yes!!! It is gone. They did bargain as I thought they would, but I got a price I was happy with and she got some off so she was happy too. They both had a quick go on it and thought it ideal, so off they went. The feller was riding it all the way back to Lincoln (about 50 miles) as he was the more experienced rider. And I pity him! That far on a 125? I used to ride one 15 miles on one into Peterborough, when I was training, and that was bad enough! LOL Still their problem now, not mine! So that’s one thing less we have to get rid of and a bit more room in the garage. One more to go, then got to try and sell my bike ramp too. I can’t see us getting a double garage in Cornwall like we have here so it has to go.

Dawn got home around 15.30. She had had a terrible night. One of Paula’s dogs, Tyson, the chocolate Lab, has some sort of neurological problem and every so often he has a sort of Palsy. His head hangs to the left , jaw and eye droops, and he is just generally “off”. Of course it had to happen while Dawn was there. He has sedatives for when this happens because he gets a little panicky. Of course, the poor pooch doesn’t know what’s happening to him. This all happened around 3.30 in the morning. The dog as crying, which woke Kelsie, which woke Jayden. SO poor ol’ Dawn had hardly any sleep.

We just had a chill out for the rest of the day and Dawn had an early night. I’d had an early morning with our menagerie getting me up at 0600. I have yet to train them to the idea of WEEKEND! The buggers had me up again at 0545 this morning! Once again it’s pigeon’ hot! We’ve been out early to do the weekend shop and now just taking it easy. I’m just waiting for the British Superbikes to start on TV, then I’ll be made. It’s that hot we don’t feel like eating a roast dinner today so we’re just going to have salmon rolls and little snack bits.

We haven’t taken the dogs out for their daily walk today. It’s that hot we don’t want them burning their paws on the pavement (sidewalk!), plus going out in fur coats is really not sensible in these conditions!

My next college tutorial has been sent through so I shall crack on with that today, but I shan’t rush to do the assignment as my tutor is on holiday for a couple of weeks. But looking at it, it seems a fairly easy one again. Still waiting to hear back from the magazine I proposed an article to. I shall contact them next week if I haven’t heard anything, in case they turn it down so i can punt it to a different mag, before I actually make the trip on the 10th September.

Well, that’s about all for now.
Stay safe, peeps
