Snappy titles, aren’t they? LOL
Actually did some work today, whoop, whoop! Started at 0830 sorting some emails out, then left home at 0930 for a 100-mile journey to Haddenham near Aylesbury. When I arrived the patient wasn’t there, but I was 15 minutes early. What? Me , speeding? Nooooooo! Wouldn’t do that!
Anyway, I sat in my car for about 10 minutes doing puzzles (always carry a puzzle book or two in the seat pockets, in case of traffic hold-ups or waiting for patients!). Then I saw her arrive and park her car, so I gave her a few minutes to get sorted and then knocked on the door. Now this was just a 12 month check so really should have only taken about 10-15 minutes, but I thought buggerit. I haven’t just travelled this far just for a “quickie”! So when she offered me a coffee, I accepted and we just sat shooting the breeze, talking about holidays and pets, oh, and a bit of medical stuff too, of course. I managed to actually kill half an hour which made it more worthwhile. Then it was another 2 1/2 hours drive back again, but I stopped on the way back to get something to eat as it was well past lunchtime. Eventually got home about 15.30.
Dawn wasn’t there. She was taking the diva, Kelsie, back home! She’d had a great time and even said “I wish I could have another sleep over tonight!” NOOOOOOOOO!!! LOL, Bless her. She wasn’t any trouble really. Well, apart from the incessant chatter, and always needing attention, and waking up at 5.40 and asking if it was time to wake up yet!!
Got the feedback from my last assignments today. One was good and to be honest, the other one wasn’t TOO bad. My tutor highlighted the mistakes and gave me great constructive criticism. But some of the mistakes made me so bloody angry and frustrated at myself. They were basic grammatical errors that I should have picked up on when I read through it and missed them totally. I’m really annoyed at myself for them. Never mind I will do better next time.
I have another appointment tomorrow and some minor admin jobs to do. The appointment is fairly close to home, weather forecast is OK, and patient is a biker so I shall be going over on the bike. Already asked them if they mind and she said no, so no problem! Looking forward to it.
Well, that’s it for tonight.
Stay Safe, peeps.
