Yesterday was a terrible day for me. Morning sickness tends to hit me at 6 weeks to the day and once again it hit me full force at the 6 week mark. I was throwing up so I called my doctor who called in a prescription for diclectin for me. Then Mike came home from work to pick it up and watch the boys. He didn’t get home til close to noon which felt like a crazy long wait. I basically just let the kids run wild as I tried not to be sick. After the boys napped he took them to the park for a few hours which was soooo nice. A quiet house when you’re sick and trying to rest is perfect.
In the evening, I still felt gross but I knew I had to go to work so I did and it was soooo not fun. I felt close to being sick basically my whole shift, although chewing spearmint gum helped a bit. And then I woke up this morning feeling awesome. Hooray for diclectin! And I just made chocolate chip cookies because I deserve it after yesterday lol.
Last week we went to visit my cousin who has a daughter who is 2 years 9 months and a 2 week old son. I got to feed and snuggle baby Bruce and I was in heaven! He was so sweet and he fell asleep on me. My boys weren’t jealous at all too. They were just curious and checked him out a bit but they were mostly interested in playing with toys and eating snacks. It was wonderful catching up with my cousin. She’s so easy to talk to. I felt terrible for her though because she had a traumatic 2nd c section where she was given gas because she wasn’t totally frozen and it made her trip out and think she was dying. Needless to say she said she’s done having kids :( I hope we go visit them again soon!
