Soooooon!
Two more days and then 2 weeks of vacation! I’m so excited!
I’m definitely ready to be done with my Labs rotation. It’s been really useful and I feel like I’ve learned lots of practical things but I am having such a hard time sitting still that long! And looking at slides under a microscope for several hours is really hard and not something I’m well-suited to at this point in time in my life. However, if I’m ever at a point in my life where I’m completely burnt out on patient care or something, it’s a field I would maybe consider looking into as I don’t hate it and it is interesting. Doesn’t really play nicely with migraines, though.
The MN State Fair starts tomorrow! Whee!!! I can’t go the first day since I’ll have to study for my Labs final that’s on Friday but after that exam, I may just walk on over. The state fair grounds is next door to my campus, so that’s convenient. Obnoxious for actually getting to and from school though. Another good reason to be on a vacation block during it!
Also planning on some NAVLE (national exam) studying during vacation. Whee. Not excited. But thinking I should study up on some of the large animal stuff I’m not encountering on my rotations, which are all small animal. Why are there so many ways for cattle and swine to get diarrhea and have abortions?!?!?!
Must go study. There’s so much blood work, specifically serum chemistry, stuff I need to get more comfortable with for my final exam. And for life in general, I suppose.
I’m still behind on you all and have plans to sort of catch up on vacation too. We’ll see how that goes :)
