Well, it’s been a productive day, in one sense.
Work-wise I had no appointments booked for today so I was at home for an “Admin day”. This means I make a few phone calls, answer a few e-mails and basically chill. Told you this was the best nursing job I’d had! LOL Seriously though, it is getting a bit worrying not having any bookings and I know I’m not the only one. There has been a spate of our patients switching to an alternative medication, which is just a tablet a day instead of an injection 3 times a week. Trouble is, this tablet has some pretty horrific side effects for some people, not everyone obviously, otherwise it wouldn’t have been licensed !
Anyway, it’s been a good day. Because of plenty of down-time I have managed to do a good deal of course work. I get tutorials sent through to me every 2 weeks and I got my 3rd on monday just gone. So today I read it through properly and actually got 2 of the self-exercises done. These are just little exercises that you don’t have to send to the college but it gets you thinking the way a freelance journalist should think and also introduces you to ways of looking at potential markets for your work. I’ve got another 2 of those to do and then the assignment which doesn’t look too difficult this time. We don’t have a time limit, or deadline to get these assignments in but I like to do them ASAP and preferably before the next tutorial pops through my email post box so I don’t have to play catch-up.
Weather has been strange today. Mostly overcast, but warm. But down in the South they have had thunderstorms and flash flooding as well. British summers…..you just can’t beat them.
Dawn made a new bed for the dogs today. Honey loves it, not sure about the other two as they haven’t been allowed to try it out! LOL Actually should be big enough for the two little ones. They do cuddle up close at night on our bed!
Ok that’s all for today. Ciao, mi amigos!
Stay Safe
