I am not a very consistent writer unfortunately. I wasn't much better on Opendiary. I do have lots of work news though. I was observed my my principal a week or two ago and i think it went really well. My students were a little wild since we were playing a game but they're five so it's expected. i haven't had my post conference due to the holiday rush but I'm sure it will go well. We had our report card conferences last Thursday and Friday which went pretty well. it felt good for parents to say things like "I know exactly what you mean, she does this at home" and "I can tell he is progressing, he's reading to me". it made me feel all warm and tingly. On Saturday we had our Kwanzaa show (we are an African-centered school so we celebrate Kwanzaa). It went really well and the children were super cute. I've been lesson planning like crazy since I have a week and a half off. i really want to get some math and reading centers going. All in all my first year is going great so far and I am looking forward to finding new ways to geek out over teacher stuff.
