went on a nice hike this weekend to suicide rock in idyllwild. it’s the first “real” hike that i’ve done since i’ve been home. so probably a month and a half. we did a trail earlier this month, but that was really just a walk on dirt.

on my trip i did two hikes which were each about 8 miles. one the first night i got in and one the next morning. i felt great, if not a little tired.

this time there’s pain on the outside of both knees. according to the internet (because the internet cannot be wrong), it’s probably either Iliotibial Band (ITB) or a Lateral Collateral Ligament Sprain. I felt it going up and really just ignored it, but could feel it more coming down. The problem with being in pain at the top of a hill is well, you have to come down.

last night and this morning, it’s been ok after showering. however, through repeated use throughout the day (damn you two floored home), it’s hurting when I bend my knees.

i’m just going to rest it, however, there’s another civlavia i want to go to sunday where you ride around the streets of a part of la. boooo!

probably just tried to ramp up too fast after being out of hiking for a while. hopefully resting it and eating ice cream drumsticks will help.
