Today's prompt is to write about five thankfuls. And, as it's Thursday that's appropriate as one of my lovely od faves does a thankful Thursday most weeks.

Of course, for the majority of the world it really is just Thursday, it's only America who are eating turkey and relaxing with family.

So - my thankfuls... I'm going to do this flying by the seat of my pants!

1) although I complain about my job it's important to add that I do love it. If I could do my job from somewhere else and only school hours I'd be so on it, but it's just not possible. It's not the kids, they light up my days, it's the amount of space it takes up in my house. And the amount of hours I have to work to earn anything like what we need me to earn. I want to be able to go on spontaneous days out while the girls still want to. So, my first thankful is that, although I want a different job, that I have a job and that people trust me with their kids.

2) that a local school have been so wonderful in accommodating me in my quest to gain classroom experience. Where other volunteers (parents there to help out) do lots of 'behind the scenes' jobs Eg changing reading books, I've been included in lessons and have specific children that I work with in groups and as one on one's. I was even included this week when the teacher I work with was having a peformance related observation. She said she really wanted me there and thanked me profusely afterwards. Saying "you're so lovely to have around." Which boosted my ego enormously!

3) that in six days it will be my birthday! I want a Barbie mansion. I never had one when I was a kid and I desperately wanted one! My mum said they were a waste of money and she's right, they were. But I wanted one soooo much! So, for my 43rd birthday I'd like a Barbie mansion. m'ckaythnx! (actually, I really want a new coin purse, a pineapple cutting doodah and an ice cream maker!!)

4) my plantar fasciitis seems to be easing off a little. The pain is much less which must either be down to daily swimming, my new oofos flip flops (recommended by another od fave) or a combination of the two. I really have a hope that I will be running in 2014...

5) last, but not least would be the people in my life who seem to give a shit about me. My hubby and kids, my brother and sisters. My friends, near friends and far friends. Friends that I have met and those that remain unknown in reality but very good friends nonetheless. Many friends from od and now pb are some of those that I feel know me the best. My longest friendship is with an Estonian lady, we've been penfriends since 1992 and have met twice. I have a lot of amazing people in my life and if you know me here I count you in that number.

My thankfuls for nojomo.

Oh mah lord, why didn't you say what you wanted for your birthday, like, 2 weeks ago?! Well, I hope you like my gift (and if you touchy-touched it you probably can imagine what's in there! Lol)

I like your thankful list. I am so thankful for a friend like you in my life, too :-)

Abrazos!

Only that it's a book - not what it is!! The main problem with mailing gifts abroad! X
