I said I wouldn’t post every day! What a crap blogger I am! Good job I shan’t be making THAT my main income source!

Got the feedback from my first assignment on the Journalism course and it was all good. Two out of the three ideas she liked, the third she was about sceptical about but not totally dismissive. Lots of constructive criticism and advice. Some of the things she said they look for are spelling, grammar, and punctuation. None of this was picked up so I guess I am alright on that score. I was confident of that anyway, to be honest.

Weather, once more, is up and down, as usual in British Summers. This morning it was lovely sunshine and we took all 3 dogs out. Talk about manic! Obviously the older two are no problem, but Furby has taken a lot of effort to get used to the leash. Dawn had persevered and the last two days have been really good and he made it all round our usual route. He sits down quite often as if to say,” Ok that’s it, no further”, until I call him and then he comes running! It will be interesting to see how Dawn does on her own tomorrow as I have an appointment in Leicester so will be leaving fairly early. We occasionally have similar problems with Honey, unless I am there. I guess there really is some truth in the Alpha Male theory! LOL
Right now, it’s peeing down with rain and getting windier.

Lee was supposed to have sold his Mustang and the guy was to put £200 deposit into Lee’s account. So far nothing. He is also supposed to come and pick it up this week, but we haven’t heard from him in over a week. I keep telling Lee to phone him, but he “doesn’t want to scare him off”. I told him it might goad him into doing something if you say you want an answer or it’s going back up for sale! Lee is such a procrastinator ( even worse than me) and always sees a glass half empty. Bloody infuriates me sometime. Makes me wonder if he really will be able to cope on his own and if we will ever get out of this situation!
He’s also supposed to start another course this week to enable him to get a decent job. I sincerely hope he does it or I really will be angry!

My best friend, (biker mate from Nottingham) came over last weekend. We told him of our plans and he is doing everything he can to talk us out of it! He is married to a woman who has a grown up son from a previous relationship. She is really nice and we do get on well with both of them, but he ( my mate) has never had children of his own, never had to bring up young kids and never had to care for a semi-invalid son. He has no idea what it’s like living 24/7 with someone who does very little in contribution to the household and inputs no financial help. If it weren’t for the fact that Lee actually bought this house (though we have put money into it now!) then I would have probably kicked him out ages go! LOL Oooohh BAD father! Seriously though , you really can only take so much. Dawn and I really need some time for us, and we’re not getting any younger.
So while I can see where my mate is coming from, all his arguments have already been thought about by Dawn and I and answers to all the problems have been found, so we’re still pretty sure we’re going for it.

Ok, folks, that’s enough griping for one post!. You all say safe.
