Our water has been turned off for most of the day. The most likely explanation is that they didn’t pay the bill. This is the kind of things you have to deal with when the utilities are included in your rent. We have a fantastic deal where we live, that we prolly would never be able to find again in a million years, but there are consequences. We have unreliable landlords, and they know that they can get away with it because they have us by the balls, so to speak, when it comes to finding anywhere to live as good as we have it now. It sucks. I had thought all that was ending when my friend, who is related to the owners of the properties, inherited much of it when his Grandma died. But because part of his family is money hungry savages who only look out for themselves and don’t want their good times to go away, he has since bowed out of anything to do with it. I can’t say I blame him, they are all very bad people. Unfortunately we have to see at least one of them every month when they come to collect our rent. The guy who will be taking over is his stepdad, so I guess it could be worse. Except I don’t like him very much. And he was extremely unhelpful when I called him about the water waaaay earlier today. Acted like he couldn’t imagine why I would be calling HIM because our water was off. He was like, “Well they’re probably just working on it or something”. Well, in my experience, whenever we wake up with no water or electricity, the first thing I think is them and not the company. Especially since it didn’t get turned back on. But because we didn’t have a notice on the door, and he didn’t act like that could be the issue, I gave him the benefit of doubt. Mistakes were made by all, in other words. It has been a craptastic day, and I think I am going to bed early to escape. I hope you all have had it better than us today. Night.
