Well, this RV living idea is starting to snowball!
Looked into a few vehicles to see about size, room, ability to drive without having to take another driving test, etc., and it’s all coming together. Can’t see anything concrete happening before the end of the year but then who knows. I’m also looking at ways to make money when we’re on the road. If I can find way of acquiring an income that can keep us afloat then it will probably happen before my planned retirement.
I’ve seen so many quotes that are really inspiring me to look really seriously into this adventure.
“Have faith in yourself
Think Yes Not No
Live life to the Full
Never Give Up” Richard Branson
”Anyone who has never made a mistake
has never tried anything new. ” Albert Einstein
”Live as if you were to die tomorrow.
Learn as if you were to live forever.” Mahatma Gandhi
One worry is the cats. We’ve still got two. Bonnie is about 6 or 7, and George (Tripod) ia around the same age , we think! Despite the problems George has had he still gets about and carries on as if nothing has happened. Bonnie still looks like a kitten! Obviously we can’t take them on the road with us, so we don’t know what to do with them at the moment. But I suppose we have some time to think about that anyway. It’s not as if this is happening tomorrow!!!!
One of my regular readers is considering converting to Catholicism. Now I’m not going to get on my soapbox about this, just talk about my history. I was brought up a proper catholic. We use to go to church several times a week, especially as I was one of the youngsters dressed up in black and white assisting the priest on the altar, an Altar Boy. My dad was the head of the Altar Boys (MC) and I guess that’s why I got to be one. We moved from one parish to another and things seemed to change. At this time I’d be 13 or so, and was already beginning to have my doubts about this whole God thing. At the age of 15 I was allowed to make the decision that it really wasn’t for me. I became a Non-believer, and have been ever since. I would call myself a Spiritualist. I believe there is life after death, just not in a “higher being” controlling our destiny. I saw a really interesting quote on Facebook recently that was stated as coming from the present Pope. If it is the case then he is the most forward-thinking Pope ever! I’ll try and post it in here, not sure if the link will work or not.
Well, I think that’s all for now. Y’ll take care , peeps.
