I come here frequently, but always forget to write. Lyra is keeping me super busy and I rarely have a free moment between her and Beau. I was working as a nurse about 8 hours per week, but the hospital I worked at shut down kind of unexpectedly on the 22nd.. Long story, but it was a small rural ER and med/palliative care unit and the lease was up/county couldn’t pay rent … who knows? I have applied a few places, but I am not urgently looking - just need to do something PRN to keep my license active.
Lyra is great - 5 months old on Friday! Still not doing too much motor skills wise- no rolling or sitting or anything. She does copy us frequently (blows raspberries, gives “kisses”) and reaches for me when I hold out my hands :-)
Beau is finished with school for the year - we, of course continue to learn all the time, but “officially” he is a 4th grader, I suppose. He took his achievement test last month and did very well. Scored 8th grade level on reading and vocab - everything else was at least 4th grade or higher, so I am happy about that.
