Hey All!
I’m sorry it has been so long. The end of the school year is always crazy, on top of getting used to being pregnant, I have barely had a spare moment. And when I do, I’m usually asleep lol.
I’m going to make this a quick update with bullet points. Finally getting tired again after about an hour nap on the couch on top of hubby earlier.

Work: work has been alright. I’m so happy the end of the year is drawing to a close! I am so tired. This week has been a monster. Wednesday, I took my orchestra (60 kiddos!) to the ETM Spring Music Festival at Lehman College. We performed for about 1,200 people! It was amazing. The kids had a great time and were very well behaved, despite getting a little bored and talkative during the performances. There were about 20 schools in attendance, plus parents and some other student audience members. We all performed for each other (elementary and middle school bands and orchestra) and got to hang out. The kids got medals and each school received a participation trophy. Thursday, I had rehearsal at my school all day for the ETM Gala fundraiser, so Wednesday and Thursday I was helping setting up and cleaning up since my school hosted the rehearsal. Today, I had 5 fifth graders perform at a legislative breakfast for education members of the community, plus rehearsal for the fifth grade graduation. In may, I had my skype concert with Switzerland and my actual spring concert with the entire school. All concerts went well, thankfully! I am still in discussions with my principal about hiring me DOE (department of education) for the fall. My pay will increase about $20,000/year…soooo yeah i gotta make this happen! She’s “still looking at the budget” eye-roll

Being pregnant has been going well! Tomorrow I will be 15 weeks, so I am in my second trimester. I’m no longer nauseous all the time, only a random gag over a smell or taking too long to eat once in awhile. I’ve started to show and wear maternity clothes. I feel like i got bigger as the day went on today lol. The only thing that has been really affecting me is the fatigue. I am tired constantly and it doesnt seem to matter how much sleep I get, I’m still tired. I gotta get into a better workout routine. That should help give me a better nights sleep. It doesnt help that I’m getting up about 2-3 times each night to pee. No cravings and I’ve only had a few emotional cries over nothing. Like tonight…we decided to start watching Orange is the New Black and for some reason by the end of the first episode, I was in tears. I’m not sure if it was the fact that she was in prison and having a hard time or what, but I cried for a good 45 minutes. Hubby had no idea what to do. Poor guy. When he hugged me, it made the tears worse. I had to ask him to leave me alone, which i never do. poor guy! Glad that these random outbursts are few and far between! The song Forever Young by Rod Stewert also makes me cry like a baby lol.

Married life is good. Dann has been working a lot lately. We hadnt really seen each other this week due to my tiredness and Dann’s late work schedule. We spent tonight talking and cuddling and napping on the couch. It wasnt anything special, but we needed to just reconnect after a few days apart.

I had some new piano students. Two sisters. They are really sweet girls. I need to fix up my profile on this online lesson forum to get more students. I will also be working at Gymboree a few days a week this summer and I just got a job at a summer camp for about three weeks teaching music. Should be a busy, but a good summer. Going to be heading upstate soon to meet with my mom and start planning the baby shower.
Alright, that’s about all I’ve got. Oh! I have officially graduated from Queens College with my master’s degree in music education! I am the second person in my family to receive a master’s degree. Pretty exciting stuff :) Later!
