Hello, allow me to introduce myself. I'm a 38 year old wife and mother of 3. My daughter is 18, my middle son is 15, and my youngest son is 6. I've been married to my second husband for almost 8 years.
I have a Master's degree in Education, but since I took time off to stay home with my youngest son I have not been able to find a full time teaching position. For now, I take care of my house, substitute teach, and am a substitute at my local library.
About three years ago I decided I wanted to get healthy and lose weight. I joined a gym and lost about 40 pounds, then about a year and a half ago we moved and my gym was too far away. I started running and lost another 20 pounds in about 6 months. I have kept up with running and ran a marathon last May, and plan to run another one this May. I still struggle with calling myself a runner. I'm in the process now of building my mileage base back up so I can start marathon training in Jan.
I'd like to lose about ten more pounds and lower my body fat. I really struggle with my eating. I generally just eat way too much, even if it's healthy foods. It's like I won't stop eating until I feel overly full. I've recently gained a few pounds and am trying to get control back before it gets out of hand.
I also struggle with my husbands opinions of my weight loss and my time spent running, and money spent on running related things. I also struggle with body image issues.
I would love to run a lot of races, but only get to do a few. I ran 3 5k's and one marathon in 2013. I am really hoping to get a gym membership in 2014.
