Picture This.... in Words that Rhyme

It is my mental exercise to take a random picture and immediately conjure up a poem. No overthinking and no mulling it over. Pictures are just “I like em variety” so let’s publicly give a try shall we....
Poem One: (page 5 on the search engine)
gothic girls photo: Gothic black-white-fairy-woods.jpg
forest dark and forest deep
this is where my nightmares sleep
treacherous path I walk at night
praying for the morning light
truth is found within my dreams
betwixt the trees and moonlight streams
terrors fade with morning glow
to come again when candles glow
forest dark is where to keep
the lies you hide that others seek
for truths are only acts you take
upon yourself when you’re awake

Damn emails and calls when I’m writing made that more difficult.... and let’s try again shall we.... will go with page 17 row 3

Poem 2:

gothic girls photo: Gothic 22698MoonGoddess__.jpg

Moon shone bright in deadened night
Upon the windswept shore
bringing forth a dream of white
a girl from time of lore

There she floats upon the sea
a radiant gleam of light
to cast away all dark in thee
make bright the darkest night

Angel she is what we see
as she drifts away from sight
a better life it now will be
as wrong becomes a right

and one last shot.... in 5 minutes of less..... and the wheel spins again
gothic girls photo: gothic surreal _ime_by_Anemyah.jpg

is that red
upon your head
red indeed
is what she said

red is also on your skirt
a skirt which is a bit a flirt
so bright the red my eyes due hurt
It’s also on your pretty shirt

red I think and may I mention
a color choice to call attention
memories that have retention
of secret thoughts of wished affection

so please continue with all the red
this is how I feel I said
the obvious shame that I must dread
is how much I want you in my bed....

Quite a talent you have! I love the first one, but I have a particular fondness of forests and trees. :)

Awesome exercise, and interesting results!

This is a pretty cool idea; a challenge, because you are essentially constructing your entry in reverse, taking inspiration from the visuals rather than finding pictures that illustrate your point..

I love this. There is such a wonderful energy in these words. The "Red" poem was my favorite. It was great fun. I think this is a fantastic idea, and I look forward to reading more. :)
