Let us walk the forest night
no shade from towering trees
feel the dark and all it’s might
a lonely place to be
goth forest photo: forest dark-forest-night-image.jpg
stroll along the wooded ways
wonder what may be seen
creatures hiding from the days
eyes sharp, claws razor keen
goth forest photo: forest forest.jpg
minds play trick of what we see
and fears that lay ahead
imagination runs a wild
the dangers in your head
dark forests photo: Dark Forest darkforest.jpg
but yet we walk and search in kind
for what is never seen
a friend a love not in our mind
a soul on which to lean
dark forests photo: dark DarknessFallsblackandwhite.jpg
those of us who seek the dark
have nothing left to fear
we seek each other to no avail
as no one wants us near

I enjoyed reading this. I feel you mean thus to be more symbolic, But it reminds me of my childhood when me siblings and I would wonder off into the woods on a full moon night and the fear taking over and our imaginations racing wild. It was a wonderful time in my life. Thanks for reminding of that time. :)

Sorry about the typos in my last comment. My phone hates me. :)

I suppose we walk an entire lifetime through the forest night, searching for the gaps in the branches that may let the daylight in... I love the second-last picture...
