Growing Up in In the Meadow

My baby boy is growing up. Tomorrow is Aaron’s birthday. He will be ten years old. Double digits and two whole hands. I remember holding him when he was a newborn. His birthday party will be next Saturday. It is at the place with all the bouncy things. It looks like a lot of fun. I think adults can go on some of it too.

The twins’ first week as teenagers went fairly well. They had birthday parties with their friends this past weekend. I guess seventh graders still have birthday parties. Kayla had some friends over on Saturday and Timmy had friends over on Sunday. The girls watched the movie Spy Kids. The boys played video games.

The kids had softball and baseball this week. They each had games. The games were in the evenings which was good because it was hot this week. It occurred to me this week that Timmy and Kayla can get learners permits and start learning to drive in less than three years. (Gulp!)
