Went to watch a new Chilean movie. It was pretty gruesome. Most chilean movies are. The sex and violence are usually way too graphic. But… what to do? That just seems to be the way local filmmakers like it. Still… today’s was especially gruesome, cos it was about the Church sex scandal. Good movie… very believable, the way the priest groomed his victims. Dis… gus… ting. But well made.
Near the end of the movie, I got really light-headed, hot, and started sweating like an idiot. Think it was a sugar rush, from too much sweet popcorn and soda. Who knows? I felt really weird for a while there. Good thing the movie ended and I could go get a breath of fresh air. My friend laughed at me. It’s the first time I’ve had a true “pregnant” moment.
I kinda miss the “circles” we had on OD. Anyone know if there’s anything like that around here? I’d love to join a circle that enjoys the music/books/TV shows I like. I’m usually the underdog in all those.
