Thanks guys for your kind words and for putting up with my whinging.
I think a big part of how down I was feeling must have been PMS, on Thursday I was struggling not to burst in to tears all day at work .but then the visitor arrived and I started to feel a bit better. On Thursday evening I got to see Paul as well which really helped, I know it’s not ideal for me to rely on him to cheer me up but I think I just really needed a hug. It’s hard not getting to see him in the week usually. We went for a Nandos and then went back to mine and watched some of the new ‘Daredevil’ series on Netflix (which I love!) it was really nice to just hang out and I felt a bit more like myself again and resolved to get back to trying to be healthy the next day!
On Friday I managed to stick to what I had planned to eat all day and then I went to see Ross, I told him when I got there that I’d had a bit of a rubbish week, that I’d had a meltdown about having less than 3 months left of my twenties and dealt with it by eating everything. He was really lovely about it and we had a really good session I thought! He pushed me to lift heavier on pretty much everything we did and although it was REALLY hard, I really enjoyed it! Ross said I should make some goals for 30 so that I can look forward to it. He said a cool thing might be a 30 mile cycle along the Purbecks as I’ve been telling him about the cycles me and Paul have been doing, I mentioned it to Paul and he’s really keen so hopefully we’ll get that done at some point over the summer! I also really want to do a colour run and there is one in Bournemouth the weekend before my birthday so I need to book Paul and I in for that! I would love to be able to run the whole 5k without stopping or walking but I’m not sure how realistic that would be because I’m rubbish at running! I’ve tried to do the whole ‘couch to 5k’ thing a few times and given up a few weeks in to it because I struggled with anything past the first week! But now I’m hopefully a bit fitter I might be able to manage it!
After PT on Friday Paul and I had a steak and veg dinner and watched Daredevil. Drew and Robyn were out when I got home and didn’t get back until later. It was nice to have the flat to ourselves for a bit but when they got home they said that they’d been to Nandos with Mum, Dad and Beth, so I was a bit hurt that I was the only one who wasn’t invited. I’m assuming that it’s because they think it won’t fit in with my diet or that I can’t afford it, or that I might already have plans but it would still have been nice to be asked! I haven’t brought it up with anyone though, I don’t want to make an issue out of it.
On Saturday I saw Ross first thing in the morning, I did 15 minutes of interval spinning and then I did a circuit of squats and burpee jumps that involved 250 squats! I did some arms and shoulders as well! I was pooped by the end! I also got weighed in. I actually hadn’t gained any weight which was a surprise and a relief but I really need to get things moving in the right direction again! For the rest of Saturday I mostly cleaned and put some stuff on ebay whilst watching Hot Fuzz, and then watching it again with the commentary… I saw Paul in the evening and we made egg fried cauliflower rice and watched TV before having a pretty early night because my whole body was hurting!
On Sunday Paul and I walked down through the gardens and along the beach for a full English at Urban Reef which was lovely!

Then we went into town to get Drew and Lynnie’s birthday presents. I called Beth for some advice on Drew and ended up having a massive conversation with her in HMV! She told me that they’re getting a kitten! They have picked him out and he’ll be ready to picked up in May, she sent me a photo, he is so cute! He’s going to be called Rupert! I’m pretty excited about getting some kitten cuddles in the near future! Mum and Dad have always had cats. I don’t think I wrote about it at the time but last summer one of their cats, Percy had to be put down and then just before Christmas, Cecil had to be put down too. They were both quite old but it was really sad, they were such a big part of our family and had really distinct personalities. It been weird to think of Mum and Dad’s without a cat so it’ll be exciting when Rupert gets to come home!

On Sunday afternoon we went for a big family meal for Lynnie’s 60th. It was really lovely to see everyone and catch up, all the littles are super cute and Fran made the most amazing birthday cake!

It felt like the weekend went so fast, it was such a struggle to come in to work today, especially because it’s a long shift because I’m working on Saturday! But I’ve gotten straight back to healthy eating after my cheat day yesterday which is good! I’m determined to actually get a loss this week!
I wrote the above on Monday and didn’t get round to posting it, so I thought I’d update a bit more before I do!
Monday was actually Drew’s birthday so after work I went straight to Mum’s for his birthday tea, it was really lovely to see everyone again and my highlight of the evening was the face the Drew pulled whilst blowing out his candles!

On Tuesday I had the day off and was up bright and early because I thought I had a session with Ross booked for 8.30, I decided to check my diary just before I left and realised it was 9.30, so I got back into bed for some extra Paul cuddles, I probably should have used the time productively but it was nice! I drove to Ross in the sunshine and had an awesome session. I did a circuit that involved wall sits and Ross mentioned that a lot of people struggle to do it for a minute. He had me doing 30 seconds at first and I usually struggle with that but for the last one he said I should try 45 seconds because I didn’t seem to be finding it too hard and then I ended up doing it for a full minute which I was really chuffed with! I also did a fitness test on the rowing machine which was 5 intervals of rowing for 30 seconds and then resting for 30 seconds. I did it in one of my first sessions and then I did it again 7 weeks in I think. When I did it today I managed to ‘row’ an extra 20m on each of my intervals compared to the 7 week ones. Ross was really pleased and he said it might be the best improvement he’s seen (I think that’s probably more due to the fact that I was absolutely awful in the beginning though!) so that’s exciting, it’s kind of awesome that even though I don’t look how I want to yet I can tell that I am actually getting fitter and stronger!

Aaaand Drew and Robyn have had an offer accepted on a house! So that’s really flipping exciting!! I don’t want to get too excited because it could still take a while but it’s nice to know there is hopefully a light at the end of the tunnel!
