Update/Stuff in My life both public and private!

Wow I didn’t realize it had been sooooooooooo long since I did an update. Seems w/ working and just “stuff” life really travels quite quickly. Finished my 6th year of teaching 2 weeks ago. It was a very good year. I enjoyed my class immensely and had a very nice group of parents and my Teaching Team was supportive and good to work w/. All around one of my favorite years to date.

Now the not so good news. Our school has dropped a Kindergarten/First Grade and Second grade class. I have been asked to take over the Designated Guidance class. What this entails is taking all the students who are not classified but also are not working to grade level. Really it is a tutoring class w/ 2 full time aides and myself. It basically involves only math & reading so students who are struggling can pass the Common Core testing done every spring. My mom had this class for the last 4 weeks of school as the woman who did it retired and was absent the last month due to an accident and was not able to work. My mom liked it. But my mom likes to tutor. I am not a big fan of tutoring. But it was either this or I would be transferred to another school and would have to start all over in another grade. I guess the reason I should be happy about this is I was highly recommended for the position by the Child Study Team. But I will miss the class room and hope I can return next year. But I am going to enjoy the next two months off and not give it a lot of thought.

Have been dating a lot but nothing or no one I would consider real “special” right now. Went golfing w/ a guy friend on Friday and had a real nice time. He took me to a Tapas restaurant in the area and it was quite good. Had a few drinks and shared a couple of plates. But no real spark between us. Have a feeling he will just be a guy friend. But nothing wrong w/ that.

Then yesterday I went w/ another guy to a race in Washington’s Crossing. We both ran the 10K and then drove to New Hope for lunch and drinks. I love New Hope. It has a bunch of excellent restaurants and some nice little shops. We ate on the river and had a really fun time. Ran a 56 minute 10K and felt really good afterword’s. Jake my guy friend ran a 49 minute 10K and was waiting at the end for me w/ water and a slice of watermelon. Now I am not sure how many of you are runners but my favorite thing after a long run like this is watermelon. But it was a really fun afternoon.

I have known Jake for about 2 years. We went on a couple of dates before I fell for a guy I dated for about 1 1/2 years. I met him on OKC. Nice guy. But I kinda fell real hard for another guy the same time we met. This is a story for another day.

After the race we drove to Jake’s apartment and took showers and went out for a walk and some ice cream. There is a place in the town Jake lives in that has home made ice cream. I love ice cream. But of course be boring me I got a vanilla soft serve waffle cone w/ sprinkles. Not sure what was more fun. The ice cream, lunch or showering w/ a guy. Another thing I really enjoy is sharing a shower w/ another person. Love that feeling of closeness. If Jake and I do get serious entries will be FO entries.

Today I am starting to get ready for the Bible School camp at church. It is only 9-12 for the next 5 days. Then I am going to a picnic at my Aunt Kathy’s house. She lives about 5 minutes from where Jake lives so I may text him and see if he is around. Maybe he will want to come over to the picnic for a few minutes and then go for ice cream again. Problem w/ the ice cream stand is the wait is sometimes 30 minutes. And that sucks.

Well hope everyone had a great 4th of July weekend. I am off tomorrow except for the camp at the church. Kind a boring entry but all my public ones will be pretty generic. The FO ones will cover more of my personal life. So if you want to be added to my FO list just ask.

I showered with Chris one time, I found it be kind of strange lol, I think I just like my personal space in the bathroom lol.

Jake's shower is pretty big as it has a tub w/ it. I can see where a stall shower would be a little less roomy. But it is nice to have someone to help you w/ those spots you just can't reach! Sorry to hear you lost out on the apartment you really liked. Good luck w/ your search!

Maybe you'll end up loving the tutoring position. :) If that's not the case hopefully they will put you back in a classroom. Good luck!

It's been a long time since I showered with a guy, but I did quite enjoy it lol

Hope you are right about tutoring. I just like the constant change going on in the class room. But who knows. Tutoring is a lot more work as you need to evaluate student on a weekly basis. Then meet w/ the child study team. My mom says I have 2 aides to help me. But I have never been great at delegating. I guess I will learn how to do it this year! Yes having an "extra" set of hands while showering can be helpful!
