I was born on November 15th 1987. I have lived in the same house since I was born. I teach in the town where I went to school and grew up. My mom was a teacher in town and still subs in the school I work in. I work in a K 1&2 school. I teach Kindergarten. I am in my 6th year of teaching. I really enjoy it but eventually would like to go into administration and some day be a principle of a school or even run a Charter School. I have two masters. One in Early Childhood Education and one in Education Administration. I also help coach JV tennis and softball. I work out everyday and run 4-5 times a week. I did a 5K w/ my dad last Saturday for St Paddy’s Day and ran a 25:47. That is one of my better times at that distance. Have always wanted to break 25 minutes but never have. I am signed up to do a 1/2 marathon on April 27th at the Jersey shore. Also signed up to do a full marathon in October. I will admit at first I hated running but now actually enjoy it.

I grew up in a 2 parent home and have an older brother who will be 32 in May. I was a pretty good athlete and played softball, basketball and tennis in hs. I also played tennis in college. I still have some of the same friends I had when I started nursery school. My best friend Danni and I have been friends since 2nd grade. Something to be said about growing up in a small town.

My childhood was pretty normal. My mom was a teacher in town. My dad owned a business, We had a nice house and everything we ever wanted. Went on a lot of fun family vacations. Had a summer house in Avalon NJ. Went skiing in the winter. Looking back it was everything anyone would want. My parents never argued much. My brother was a big time Lax player and a very good soccer player. My dad drank some and so did my mom. But always in control. Little did we know that my brother would become an alcoholic and drug abuser. I drink some but never more than 1-2 drinks in any setting. More about my brother later.

I had a lot of friends growing up. Still do. I always played 2 flights up in soccer. I was playing U-14 when I was 11. My dad was/is a huge soccer fan. When I was in 8th grade the varsity coach used to come to see our team play. He became quite friendly w/ my dad. He told me and a couple of my team mates at the time he couldn’t wait until we were in hs so he could coach us. When I got out of 8th grade I signed up for the hs soccer team. I couldn’t wait to play and make new friends in the hs. I knew a lot of the girls because I had played soccer w/ them over the years. The girl who was running the Captains practices was a neighbor of ours and I knew her a little. Her name was Gaby or Gabriella. She was never friendly towards me but never mean either. Little did I know what was coming.

On the first day of Captains practices Gaby just started picking on me. She called me Brian instead of Breanne. Said I was really a boy trying to pass as a girl so I could play soccer on the girls team. She called me No Tits Brian. Now I was about 5‘10” and weighed about 110 pounds. I was all arms and legs. I was very flat chested. Barely filled out a training bra. I was absolutely devastated. I wanted to quit soccer but no way could I tell my dad. I never cry. But came home one morning and was just balling after one of the Captain practices. My mom asked me what was wrong. I told her about Gaby and what was going on. Her first reaction was to go to talk to Gaby’s mom and then call the coach. I wanted no part of that. So we made a plan.

I took up tennis lessons and stopped going to soccer. Never told my dad about it. Scraped together enough cash to pay 35 dollars for a 1/2 hour practice. Talked my grandmother into giving me a new racket as an early b-day gift. When the end of the summer came around I told my dad I was going out for the tennis team instead of the soccer team. He was crushed. The soccer coach came to our house to see what was wrong. Never told him just said I was tired of soccer. When I went to the first tennis practice we were told that only 12 of the 26 girls trying out would make the JV squad. I was petrified. But somehow I made the team. Was even first doubles and played enough varsity to get a Varsity letter as a freshman. I eventually was the Captain of the tennis team s a sr. in hs and played in college. Still play tennis today. And have never told my dad why I quit soccer. And my dad saw everyone of my matches in hs and most of my college matches.

And about 2 years ago I saw Gaby at a restaurant I was waitressing in during the summer. She was quite beautiful in hs. Long blond hair, terrific figure. just an all around pretty girl. Well she had gained about 80 pounds, her hair looked greasy, she looked tired and beaten down. She was w/ her mom and had a new born w/ her. I was proud of myself as I was very nice to her when I waited on her. Found out later she had a child w/ her former bf, was unemployed and living w/ her older sister in a very small apartment in a local town. Just proves Karma is a bitch!

Well have a busy weekend. Boot Camp this morning. Group date w/ a guy I went out w/ last weekend. We are going to a local sports bar to watch the tournament and have a few drinks and some lunch. Then I am going to Hoboken w/ a group fo friends and my new guy friend. Also doing a mani & pedi w/ my mom when I get done w. my boot camp this morning. Then on Sunday I am helping in the nursery at church, more basketball watching and a family dinner in the evening!

Have a great weekend all! I will continue w/ my life story next week. I will post pictures in my FO entries. So if you want to be added please ask. And the picture in my profile is one of my favorite people in the world. It is my dog Bella. She is also a HUGE Jets fan!

I envy you.

The first thing is your running times. I used to run. Not anymore.

And secondly being able to have lived in one spot. That would be heaven to me.

I was nice to have never moved. Still live in the house I grew u in. Don't think my times will get any better. I think I have peaked as a runner.

Maybe you could run longer distances?

I never did a full marathon but my distances were improving. I miss being that fit and just running & running

I have run a few marathons and a few 1/2 marathons. Just very time consuming doing all the training. You should take up running again. It does help you stay fit and is a good way to help you get your mind off of the everyday struggles we all have.
