Tim had to wake me up this morning. I slept right through the alarm. My heartburn has been getting worse in the middle of the night so I wake up around 3am and I’m up for an hour before it goes away. Thank you, Little. At least I know you’re just fine in there.
We got paid last night, so I made sure that rent was paid and then we went grocery shopping. Our finances were really, really tight last month because of all of the surprise bills (the car, the cats, and the dentist) so after buying groceries we’re down to $120 bucks to get us through the rest of the week. We also decided that this week we’ll have to forgo putting anything into our savings account. I don’t like having less than 100 in our checking at any given time, so we’ll just pick it up with next weeks paycheck.
It’s so funny how all of your priorities change when you’re having a baby. Little things that we used to blow money on suddenly become large expenditures that we can’t afford. And I don’t mind. Tim and I have had a few arguments about money since I found out I was pregnant, but it’s only because we both want what’s best for our family. We may only have $120 to get us through the week, but at least we have that. And truthfully, there’s nothing we need to spend money on except putting gas in the car. We’ll be okay.
I wanted to thank everyone who commented on my entry yesterday. It’s nice to know that a lot of you can relate to what I’m going through and I really appreciate the support from all of you. It’s sucks either way I look at it, but if I want my baby safe it’s something I can’t avoid. It just… well, it sucks.
Work is going well this week. I’m starting to get used to the chaotic pace of everything so I’m finding that I’m getting less and less overwhelmed as time goes on. There is a patient up there right now who REALLY doesn’t like me, but I guess that’s going to happen every once and a while. Mostly I just keep to myself and get my work done. I’m ready for the weekend.
Saturday is going to be SO MUCH FUN. I am so pumped to see Ibby and Eric and have them take our announcement photos. They’re such awesome people and their skill with a camera is incredible. They’re being so kind by offering to do this for us free of charge, too. They’re seriously some of the most generous people I have ever met.
That’s all I got. I’m gonna take a quick cat nap before work.
