Running in My life both public and private!

I gained a lot of weight between my freshman year of college and my junior year of college. I did the freshman 15 every semester. I went form about 120 lbs when I started college to about 210 lbs in less than 3 years. I am on the tall side but it was still pretty noticeable w/ all that extra weight. My room mate convinced me to take up running. I will admit I hated it at first. I was on the tennis team in college and we ran a little but nothing like what Jen got me to do. Jen was on the volley ball team in college so she was sued to running. I wasn’t. And all the extra weight didn’t help me when I started to run.

I ran my first 5k in April of 2008. Since then I have run probably 150 or more races and all distances from a 5K to a marathon. My dad is a big time runner and I sometimes run w/ him. I have dated a few runners over the years and have run races w/ different guy I dated. Have lost about 50 lbs and a lot of inches over the years. I have maintained my weight for the last several years. I also take a spinning class and do a boot camp class several times a month. May even try yoga after all these years. Weather is just getting to the point where you can go out and run on the weekends. Has been so cold and snowy it has been quite difficult to get outside and run. And I am not a huge fan of treadmills.
