False-Victim Culture in Ups and Downs

There was a video me and Sam saw where a porn star was acting out against False-Victim Culture today. Whereas, people define themselves by the ways they’ve been wronged - mostly over-exaggerating a issue to make themselves seem interesting and to gain pity. It was in light of another porn star that had her home broken into and she was raped and robbed in front of her kids. And, I have to say I wholly agree with everything that was said.

Thing is, yeah, too many people make a single issue a big one and instead of overcoming it - they shell up and pretend to get pity. And you know, its becoming too common that people even invent things like this. i mean, it also demeans the real victims - I don’t care if they are porn stars or not - rape is still rape; robbery is still robbery. While you got a legion of people crying how nobody will understand them cause they’re Dad left when they were kids - well that is a far cry from being shamed in front of your kids. Fuck people like that man! I mean, my Dad left when I was young and my Mom went through ‘Dads’ like no tomorow - my wife and her siblings have been thoroughly dicked around and had to live in a terrible environment they are still all confused about. My niece don’t know how to handle life at all because everyone just disappears out of her life and lucky her siblings are still young and can’t manage a little better because they don’t understand. But fact is, we all got issues but we can’t let them define us. We need to be defined by our ambitions and goals - the things we are good at. Even if we play games and even if we live very simple lives - being a victim doesn’t make you interesting, it doesn’t define you. You define you and by telling people all about how these people tore you down and you never got up - well that is showing that those people who wronged you won.
