I really need to make an effort to write more often! Anyways, Cody is 3 years and 8 months old now and he has been doing a lot of growing up lately. Thank goodness too because it’s time lol. First of all, when we were on our trip he had to sleep in my parents bed every night with bed rails. He has always been in a crib because when we suggested otherwise he would say no, no, no and freak out. We even bought him a race car bed for his 2nd birthday which is super cute! It’s just been sitting in his room. So anyways, in Florida he had no problems sleeping in a big bed. He didn’t complain once. I couldn’t believe it. So as soon as we got back I was like, “Cody! You’re such a big boy! You slept in a big boy bed in Florida. So now you’re going to sleep in your awesome race car bed. Cuz you’re such a big boy now and cribs are for babies!” And he’s been sleeping in it ever since. I guess he just needed to realize that sleeping in a bed isn’t scary. How awesome is that eh? He’s almost been in it for a month now :) He doesn’t get up or trash his room or anything. Finally! Lol.

Then, last week a friend of mine with a son around the same age was telling me she just started potty training her son because he finally stopped being so resistant to the idea. So randomly I started potty training Cody lol. He used to cry and say noooooo about the potty too but now he’s clearly ready. Today is day 6 of potty training and he is doing amazing! Sometimes I remind him to go once in a while and other times he just goes himself. From day 1 he’s only having one or two accidents a day. He thinks it’s fun to pour the potty in the toilet, flush and say “bye bye poopie!” Lol. I am so beyond thrilled. He had no interest for the longest time. I think it might have clicked for him finally because for a while we have been telling him he won’t be able to go to school unless he pees on the potty and that only babies use diapers. I am so glad we waited until he was ready and didn’t force him. I am mostly staying in with the kids this whole week so he gets used to only wearing diapers at bed time. Hoping for no accidents today :)

We haven’t been up to a whole lot lately. I am excited for warm weather to arrive so I can take the kids to the park and go for daily walks. It’s supposed to get up to 13 on Friday! So awesome! We will definitely go to the park if that actually happens. I am continuing to do well selling Jamberry and I am so grateful for that extra source of income. I recently decided to use my Jamberry income purely to pay off my credit cards which is awesome because I make a nice amount of money each month. It’s exciting seeing the debt get smaller although it’s going to take me probably 18 months to pay it all off. I am just spending my money on needs with very few wants to save as much as possible. It’s all good though :) I don’t normally buy myself a lot of stuff anyway. Unlike Mike who treats himself to a $80 video game at least once a month. Plus movies (he has a dvd collection of 1000 movies).

Anyways, it’s lunch time. I think I will have a delicious caesar salad! Have a wonderful day everyone :)
