The SCOTUS has spoken, and in so doing, it reveals its new drift toward the irrational. Rather than handing Congress a rebuke, for the sloppiness with which it crafted the so-called Affordable Health Care Act, the Supreme Court has chosen to decide for itself exactly what it is the Congress intended to pass.
To do so requires the massive naiveté found only within the Washington DC Beltway. The belief that Congress “had an intent” presumes that it collectively had read the bill before it was voted upon.
If there is one thing for which the Supreme Court should hold the feet of Congresspersons to the fire it should be the requirement that they have full knowledge of legislation upon which they are voting. Were the Founding Fathers remiss in not requiring, as a matter of Constitutional Force, that members of Congress must actually read, word for word, the garbled nonsense upon which they are required (by their esteemed leaders) to pass judgement?
The rather stupid 6-3 decision today, on the part of the Supreme Court, has been preceded by dire warnings that, if they did not go along with the corrupt political process from which “Obamacare” arose, chaos would reign. That potential chaos was not the responsibility of the Supreme Court to prevent. Congress, in its corruption in full, needed to be held to account for its foolishness.
When children play with matches and set things to fire, they must be held to account. When misguided youth take up weapons and rob liquor stores or gas stations, they must be held to account. When Congress follows its corrupt leadership, and passes desperately corrupt legislation, it too, must be held to account.
The Supreme Court decision today, upholding the AHCA, with all of its labyrinthine faults, is a Supreme Court vote favoring irrationality in American governance, and a drift away from rational governance toward the abysmal Left that has brought low. the government of Greece … and will destroy as well Portugal, Spain, and every European nation that fall foolishly in to the sickness of socialism.
