The two main news items of the day here -
a report on the sex crimes of Jimmy Savile at Stoke Mandeville hospital over decades is published and shows he assaulted or raped over 50 women and girls without any action being taken.
Madonna fell off the stage while performing at the BRIT awards but got back on and like the true professional finished the song - thus putting in the shade all the winners of awards.
I missed the second one live because we turned over to see the news having just seen what was on ITV and finding there were commercials
Walking again this morning - in the woods - followed by an art lecture this afternoon - what is the betting I fall asleep in the dark in the second event.
Now for the sports news - Afghanistan beat Scotland by one wicket in the final over of their match in the Cricket World Cup.

Too late for Savile - the crimes only came out after his death - they now run to many hundreds - from the 1960s right up to 2011. He was a celebrity and fund raiser and the victims were powerless at the time. Now whole areas of institutions are being investigated for not doing anything. If you have time Google Jimmy Savile
