Happy Monday. WHOMP!!

Crazy ass news to report. Danny got a phone call from a vendor he used to work with when he was on the buying side of his job out in Huntington Beach, CA about a position that’s opening up. She pretty much offered him this job on the spot. After probably one thousand questions back and forth, we decided that it’s the perfect opportunity and he accepted the offer!!!

We’re moving to Orange County May 18th! Would be earlier but, we planned a Cabo trip May 14th to go look at wedding venues. His start date is May 25th!! So pretty much, I’m in panic and anxiety mode. Planning a wedding is overwhelming to start with (haven’t even done much yet! lawd) but, it’ll be so worth it. We have no idea where we want to live out there. We legit just moved to our apartment in Dallas in January. It’s going to cost us an arm and a leg to get out of this lease, unless we find someone to take over our lease. We haven’t gone public with the news yet, he’ll tell his current job April 6th so we gotta keep it hush until then. OTHERWISE I could post a fb status to see if anyone knows of reliable people to take over. I’m like 200% overwhelmed but, Danny said he will take care of all the logistics and I just need to focus on finding a decent job/deciding where we should find a place. Trying to remind myself of that!

He gets to work from home majority of the time, only has to go to the Huntington Beach office 3-4 times a month. So pretty much we can live wherever between LA and San Diego. It’s really just going to be about where I find a job. We have friends that live in a little beach town called San Clemente/Dana Point and they drive into Irvine for work together. So that’s my goal. Their little town is the cutest and their view is the Pacific Ocean. SOLD. Just going to be hard with the 2 dogs. OMG panic mode. I’m hoping one of them can put me in contact with their friends/colleagues because let’s face it, finding a job is 80% who you know. HELL Danny didn’t even have to interview and got this amazing opportunity just because he made a good impression. 35% raise and he’s switching to the sales side… Hello, bonuses! His hard work has paid off and I am so so so so proud of him!

I don’t imagine us staying out there for longer than 3 years, once we start having kids I would want to be back in TX with our families. Danny’s mom is going to cry when he tells her tomorrow. He was supposed to tell her last week but chickened out. I guess she had a cyst on her ovary and was all worried. Results came back and she’s good 2 go. She’s going to freak about this move, especially since we’re driving a uhual, my car, and the dogs… They live in a super small town and thinks our traveling lifestyle is crazy. I can pretty much guess right now that they won’t understand this move either. At the end of the day, this is the best thing for Danny’s career. I really hope she doesn’t make us feel bad about this…

Anywho, wish us luck in this huge life transition. I’m trying to take it day-by-day i just get super stressed with all that we’re trying to accomplish this year, and, we legit just moved!! In 3 years I have lived in San Fransciso, Fort Worth, Dallas, now OC. Annnd 11 months until our wedding....... HOLY HELL!

Stay tuned <3
