So there. I sent my resume out to about 10 places. Mostly for in town positions with next to no travel required. Bah.

I’ll honestly be surprised if I even get a call back. That sounds negative but with the market and price of oil right now… I don’t know. It would be nice to be in town long term though, with more stability.

I can ask my supervisor for a “lay off”. So that I’ll still be active with this company and can go out of town when a new contract comes up. Gives me options and an out if I ever need to make large amounts of income in a short period. Fack.

Guess we will see how this whole thing plays out. If I don’t get another job, my manager said he can possibly keep me busy at our head office. So all in all, there’s something. I’m not screwed, I’m just bitching and probably sounding like a princess.

*Edit: My comoany posted a job ad for a position at their heas office (in town). Its not exactlynthe area I love but, its in town. So I emailed my HR manager, awkwardly asking about the details of the position. For some reason this made me feel shady. I haven’t worked an 8hr day, Mon-Fri position in well over a year now. It would be weird but so nice. The only shitty thing is, I’d be losing money. Again, about the money!

I’ll see what she says. At the end I added ” Am I even allowed to apply to another job within the company? Not sure how this works.” How awkward is that? Haha I’m so lame sometimes.
