This was a successful weekend. Starting on Friday and continuing through now.
Friday did serve yup a little b it of worry and bad news from my Sponsee, John. I had last seen him on Monday evening as I dropped him off at his house after an AA Meeting. He neither phoned me no answered my calls. Friday about 3 pm he did call and explained he was being discharged from the Hospital. Tuesday evening he had a weak spell and fell onto his living room floor. He lost consciousness and awakened at 4 AM on his couch. He had the sense to call the Police who responded and they made sure he was taken to the Hospital for observation. He said he had every test know to man and finally the decision was problems with his low blood pressure. John did come to a Saturday AA Meeting and except for tremors in hands hands looked to be recovered. I am not satisfied with the diagnosis and will talk to the Behavioral Health Service who are caring for him. to see if they can get him additional; Medical evaluations.
get a second opinion.

Friday night Doris went to a Dinner-Dance venue. It was a Prix Fix event with dinner, dancing and a bottle of wine included. Doris had Surf and Turf and I had Prime Rib. The Waitress brought us a bottle of wine, unopened, and a bag to bring it home. We also had an Apple Strudel and a cheesecake dessert. But the real hit of the night was a five ;piece band who played Doo Wop and flooded us with memories with love music of out favorites. Doris and I dance nearly every dance and left there with a rom an tic glow radiating from out hearts

Saturday evening Doris took me to a restaurant where I was in traduced to a lot of her cousins and family and her younger Sister whose birthday we were celebrating. They were all friendly and nice except for one man who could not believe I wouldn’t ‘t accept his gift od a double espresso with Sambuca. He was loudly and disbelievingly insistence that I would not take his drink. Saturday we drove there and returned in bitter cold and blizzard snow conditions so we stayed at Doris’ house as it was several miles closer. Note this link to a right- on -target image.

Sunday morning we slept late and then went out for Brunch. It is really brutally cold but it is a dry snow and the car cleaned off easily. Our plans involved taking her two grand children out for the afternoon to an arcade style place but one of them had a cold. Doris went to visit and will be here to my house soon for a Ziti and Meatball dinner..

What a nice weekend we had.
