We have been back since the very early morning of the 3rd. Sorry for the late entry lol. You know how it is. Life is busy with kids and jobs and such.

Anyways, we left for Buffalo on February 19th to go stay overnight in a motel since we had a very early flight the next morning. It was absolutely FREEZING in Buffalo!! We almost died getting everything out of the car lol. And then of course I find out that they don’t have any cribs/playpens for Miles so guess who had to sleep with him? Yeah, me. He moves around a LOT and the floor in the room was hard so I kept waking up in the night to pull him back from the edge of the bed. And he took over an hour to fall asleep. But whatever. We lived. We had to wake up at 5am the next morning and luckily the kids weren’t super cranky at that early wake up call. We were BARELY able to manage our 3 large suitcases, double stroller, 2 car seats, 2 carry-ons and 2 children to get to the front of the line. It was a tad bit ridiculous. Especially since I had to hold Miles so he wouldn’t run away. And then of course in the line Cody starts whining that he’s HUNGRY!! Seriously kid? lol.

Both boys were wonderful on the plane though. Cody was SO EXCITED to look out the window and just to be ON the plane. It was awesome! All they did the whole 3 hours was nap, eat some snacks and play with a few portable toys we brought. The early hour was probably a good thing since they weren’t ready to be super active.

I’m not really going to do a play-by-play since we were there from February 20th-March 2nd in the evening. I will say that Cody was absolutely EXCELLENT on the trip. Like, seriously, he is 3 and a half and he was perfect. He doesn’t even act that great at home. It was amazing! We went to the 4 Disney parks as well as Magic Kingdom a 2nd time on the last day. We also went to Busch Gardens, SeaWorld and then Mike and I went to Universal Studios alone. Cody was excited at every single park and everything was WOW and let’s do that ride again and he was just so happy it was wonderful. He is tall for his age too so he was able to go on some rides that some kids might not be able to go on until they’re 5 (I say this because we saw a kid that was 5 that was the same height as him on a ride lol). We were nervous he’d be afraid of some rides we took him on but he loved them ALL. Like Test Track, Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, Soarin, Star Tours. Him and I also had a Dolphin encounter at SeaWorld and he was so excited to touch them and see them waving at us and stuff that he almost cried when our 7 minute meet and greet was over lol. He learned so much about animals at Animal Kingdom, Busch Gardens and SeaWorld. He even got to brush some goats at Animal Kingdom :) We were so thrilled at how he reacted on the trip. You couldn’t have asked for anything better. He did nap occasionally in the double stroller but when he was tired he would just fall asleep, no fussing or anything.

We stayed with my parents while we were there and they came to almost every park with us because they were so excited to see us and the kids. I was excited to see them too and so glad they went lots of places with us! The kids spent an entire day with them when Mike and I went to Universal Studios. We left them just after breakfast and didn’t get home til 10pm because we stayed ALL day and went to The Olive Garden for dinner. That was such a blissful day. No pushing a double stroller or carrying any kids who were sucky or lugging a diaper bag around or any of that. I even wore a fanny pack so I could be completely hands-free without having to carry my huge-ass purse everywhere. Such freedom :) And Mike and I LOVE theme parks so much. Like, they’re out absolutely FAVORITE thing so it was an amazing day!! The kids did great with my parents. They took them to a park and they spent hours there and to a beach cuz Cody loves sand and they didn’t have a single complaint about spending the day with their grandparents thank goodness. Mike and I went on soooooo many rides! I was thrilled to see the newest part of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. We rode the Hogwart Express something like 4 or 5 times since it allows you to travel between the 2 parks at Universal without the long walk. Plus it was cool. I love everything Harry Potter!! I was in Heaven lol. The only thing that sucked was that the newest ride at Gringotts bank was not in operation the entire day so we didn’t get to go on :( Boooooooooo! I did go into Fred and George’s joke shop though and got my friend a chocolate frog and me some pepper imps. I was trying to get some extendable ears but didn’t see any :) Dinner at The Olive Garden was a perfect end to the day. Sooooooo delicious! I didn’t even know what to do with myself at a quiet meal without the kids lol. Their garlic bread and pasta are amazing. Omg!

Miles had a great time on the trip too. He loves being outside and having lots to see. But he definitely had his difficult moments where he was whining or exhausted. He slept every day in the stroller but he was still cranky sometimes. It wasn’t too bad overall though. Most of the time he was great. We went to a different park every day so it did really tire the kids out sometimes. Like, when we went to Universal Studios at the middle of the trip my mom said he went down for a nap an hour after he woke up and was down for 3 hours lol.

My parents treated us to meals and stuff so much on the trip. We spent a LOT but if it wasn’t for them we probably would have spent more than double what we did. They seriously think of everything too. They had tons of portable snacks to bring to the parks when we arrived which I did and saved a TON of money that way. Plus they bought the kids a few souvenirs so we didn’t have to. Like they had matching Disney shirts for them and Mickey ears and a Mickey hat that Cody adored. They’re really sweet like that.

The weather wasn’t perfect while we were there but even on the chilly days we were still in our shorts which to me is wonderful after -30 temperatures here! It poured one entire day so when we woke up and saw that we decided that would be our ONE allotted day off which worked out perfectly. We went to a Chocolate Museum that day and just hung around and it was honestly nice to have a rest from waking up early every day and getting to the parks when they opened lol. Oh and did I mention that my dad has a problem where he can’t walk long without sitting so he has a walker and so sometimes we got to go to the front of the line at Disney because of it? Awesome! lol.

The trip was the perfect luxurious length too. 11 days :) It was absolutely incredible! And all of us had an amazing time. And don’t any ever tell you that a 3.5 year old isn’t old enough for Disney. He had an absolute BLAST. Especially at Magic Kingdom where we took him on almost every single ride. We’re already saving up to go again in 3 years. We have a savings bucket that we put money in every week and it saves $2600 a year so in 3 years we will have MORE than enough. While we were there we paid for meals, our rental van and 8 different parks, a small bit of groceries/diapers and this and that and we spent about $4000 Canadian. Just imagine how much that would be if we hadn’t been able to stay with my parents eh? And I’d guess they paid for about 10 of our meals. Crazy expensive but soooo worth it! And despite all the running around we felt sooooo refreshed when we were home and totally fine with having one more month of winter :)
