My appreciation of Sib Hashian as a drummer is growing as I age. This randomed up on Evel today and I found myself listening to the drums more than anything. He doesn’t double down at first like he did in “Rock and Roll Band,” which I have always thought as the most awesome sets of triplets ever. But he is so out in front, driving the song along.
It is -2F and falling. We have another blizzard on the way. Which will be the third this winter. On top of two Nor’easters. This one is an Alberta Clipper. Since I am on the coast I am in the path of perhaps another 2 feet of snow. And extreme cold. Oh yeah, and wind.
I am en extremis, in that I broke my snow shovel and my snow blower is questionable. Lowes, Wally World and Sears are all sold out of snow shovels. That means I need to be up by 6am and out the door to hunt down a shovel somewhere in the Mid-Coast region before this shit starts at noon tomorrow.
That and buy a few things that can be cooked on a camp stove just in case the power goes out. Coffee. Gotta buy some coffee.
After that it is shrug, watch TV and dress like an eskimo and clear the driveway every two hours.
