Good morning everyone!!
I forgot to mention that Miles turned 18 months last Sunday! And omg I forgot how tough this age is lol. Seriously, it seems like most of the time he has a one track mind and just wants to get into as much shit that he’s not supposed to get into as possible. I understand it’s a curiousity thing but it really sucks having to watch him every second and telling him no 1,000 times a day!
These are things Miles likes to do during the day right now....
-put plugs out of wall sockets or suck on the end of a phone charger
-go behind the TV and pull random cords
-find the TV clicker and press buttons
-sneak a handful of cat food when I’m across the room
-break into the child locks on the cupboards and pull everything out really fast before I can stop him
-climb the couch, chairs, people, anything possible even if it’s dangerous and the chair might tip over at any second
-run and get people’s boots/shoes from the front hall and bring them to various points in the room
-get into my kitchen drawers and pull out utensils, mixing cups, beaters, anything that looks interesting
-whine to be picked up 100 times a day only to want down 5 seconds later
-crawl upstairs faster than The Flash and beeline for dresser drawers to scatter clothes everywhere
-put any small object he finds in his mouth
-dig in the garbage for treasures! This is the WORST. He was wandering around chewing on a discarded k-cup he found in there just an hour ago…
-throw things around the room randomly
-sometimes when you put him to bed he takes a while to go to bed....he’ll cry and then when you go in to put his soother back in he will laugh
You understand my frustration now? lol.
Ok, now for the cute things he does....
-he makes the “muah!” sound when I’m giving him a kiss and he will give kisses to people if asked and sometimes spontaneously
-he is sucky and likes to cuddle with me at times (although this can be hard because he wants MOMMY not Daddy in these cases)
-he says “YEAH!” enthusiastically all the time, especially when you ask him something. This always makes me laugh, especially when it is accompanied by a vigorous head bob
-he makes this cute scrunched up face if you give him a special smile
-he loves his brother and always wants to give him hugs and play with him
-when you blow on his food he pretends to blow on things too lol
But yeah anyways......at 18 months he can say more words than I can count. He comes out with new ones all the thing. This is soooooo not like Cody. He even says “Buppa” for Babcia already (polish for grandmother) when referring to my mom. He’s pretty good with a spoon and always wants to use utensils all by himself. He generally sleeps 13 hours a night with maybe one wake up for a soother. And one nap in the afternoon for 2 hours. He can be picky about food but not nearly as bad as Cody. I think he’s going to be the easy one to feed on the trip! Like if I get a kids meal at a restaurant for them to split, Miles is usually the one who ends up eating it while Cody refuses lol. His favorite toys right now when he’s not getting into trouble is cars and trucks by far. It’s pretty much all he plays with!
Oh and Miles is still so small! He’s 18 months and wears 18 month clothes and sleepers with 9-12 month pants and he’s about 31 inches and 23lbs. Cody was that height and weight at 12 months. Just shows how different they can be!
