It’s getting more difficult to write here because I don’t have any time at work anymore. It sort of annoys me, but I suppose it’s what I’m paid for. I have started to write a couple of times, but it just never reached completion. I’ve been editing all day at work for the company magazine. It’s 4pm, and I’ve decided I can stop and write my diary now. I have been here since 8. Yesterday I started at 8, went home at lunchtime, worked until 3:30. Went to the dentist, who incidentally gave me a surprise filling, and then went back to work until 6pm. I then went out to my creative writing class.
Have I written about my creative writing class here? It’s quite good. I don’t very often feel like the most normal person in the room, but I sort of do there. There are only 14 people in the class. Two of them have aspergers, one of whom is also transgender. I’ve never met a transgender person before. She’s not very approachable, but I think that’s the aspergers. One other person has a brain injury, and she has trouble reading now. Another student was born in Nigeria. He’s really funny.
Last weekend was the dragon’s birthday and we went to Devon for the weekend where my mother took us out to lunch. That was very nice. She also made a birthday cake and sausage rolls. Thanks mum.
The dragon got lots of presents and the usual fuss was made. I seem to remember writing about the music player thing I bought for her. She liked it. It is very cool actually and we can now listen to radio from all over the world.
Did you see the horrifying footage of the Taiwan plane crash? I used to work just up the road from that airport. We’re going to be visiting in April. We’re not flying into Song Shan though and we’re not using Trans Asia.
I’m currently reading Stardust by Neil Gaiman. I’ve not read any Neil Gaiman before. I quite like it.
