Let’s start by sharing a story:
The Last Question by Isaac Asimov (1956)

My Novio shared the story with me and while I’ve been temping at this law firm I thought I’d take a moment and read. It was well worth the 20min it took for me to read it and a great way to get introduced to Asimov before reading any of his bigger pieces.
I got a job! YAY! I mean a real, big girl, full time, awesome salary job with a Venture Capital firm in Palo Alto. It’s fancy and expensive and awesome. The people, from what I can make of them right now, are sweet and kind. I am always so nervous at the start of a new job because I require patience from those that train me. The ability to ask questions is important and the ability to feel comfortable being uncomfortable is also important. I would like to go into this new job with a more positive mindset. I know I can’t do it all, but I can be honest about my time commitment, and I can be frank about what I deem as priority over certain tasks. Honestly, I have a lot of concerns on how I may or may not feel with the commute, the time commitment, and the job itself. I’m just hoping I can catch on quickly and efficiently.
This weekend is Valentines day weekend. Novio and I don’t usually do anything, but because of the three day weekend I’m hoping we can arrange something cheap for a mini-vacation. I was looking into camping for a night or two in Carmel or Monterey and just seeing whats down there. I’ve heard amazing things about the area, but have never ventured down their myself.
I haven’t been eating well lately. Pizza and ice cream diet isn’t sustainable and it needs to change. I have a few goals once my new job is in place. Wake up early and show up early and go to the gym after work so when I get home, I’m fresh and ready for dinner! All I know is I need to do more exercise especially if I’ll be at a desk from 8-5 every weekday.
Deep breathing and long walks. That’s as close to a meditation as I’m gonna get right now.
