Superbowl snow in Everything

It’s snowing again, which is kind of cool because I like the snow but there is quite a bit already on the ground. We got about 2 feet last week which resulted in 2 days of working from home. Plus one more for me because when I did go out to go to work my car battery didn’t have enough juice to start my car. That was fun. I always get a lot more work done when I am in the office so today I made the decision to go in. The snow started around 3am or so, by the time I got out to my car there was a good 6 inches on the ground. I trudged to my car (no plow had been through the parking lot yet) and started it up, cleaned it off and shoveled a little behind so I wouldn’t get stuck backing out. That took about 5 minutes or less and I was now covered in snow, it was coming down fast. Tried to shake the snow off and got in. The drive was fun, if your idea of fun is white knuckling it for the entire ride while watching a glacier form on your windshield wipers which makes them near useless. Add to that near white out conditions, little to no traction especially on hills and I think I might have clipped and abominable snowman on the way in. Only to get to a mostly unplowed parking lot at work. We are supposed to get about another foot or so today. I’m hoping that the drive home is a little less exciting and that the plows get out there so that I can see at least some road on my way home.

Oh and what else? Well the Patriots beat that loud mouth Seattle team. That was a great Superbowl, leave it to Pete Carroll to prove on the biggest stage how inept he is at coaching, or at least play calling. Aside from that it was a great comeback win. A lot of great clutch plays from both teams. Add this to the record books and we are on to next year!

Everyone I know called in today - too much snow! Unfortunately, I don't work until tonight, and everything will have been cleared by then so I have no excuse. Boooo.

Man I miss snow days. We haven't had one here since... well I guess when I was in college we had a snow day. I kind of just figure now that I'm an adult I no longer get snow days :(

I didn't watch the superbowl... I would have gone to a superbowl party had I been invited to one, but only for the food!
