Three port calls in Spain and the things I remember most are how similar it seemed to Southern California. Granted it was Valencia in the summer.
I didn’t go along - but a bunch of guys took the train from Valencia to Toledo. To buy their swords. In the Navy once you make O-4 it is mandatory to own a sword. And Spain is the place to buy swords.
The other thing I remember about Spain is the women. They are simply the most beautiful beings to grace this planet. Hands down.
